This is just plain insane ... For those who have not heard there is a rumor about a four team trade  ultimately putting Dwight Howard in new Jersey or "Brooklyn" and Portland would receive draft picks and cash considerations witch would ultimately mean the one word that I have been dreading ... REBUILDING I would hate to see this team start rebuilding after all they have accomplished. Gerald Wallace will flourish this season being able to be on a team that does not need him to carry them. He doesn't have to force those shots he did with the Bobcats his role has been lessened in a good way allowing him to do what he does best rebound, fast brake, dunk, play defense, slash and of course hit the wide open J. being in Portland will bring Gerald Wallace back to that all star level!

or it could mean we have to much talent at the position and gerald is turning 30 and depending whos picks it is and how many could be worth it considering what we have behind

It is a business. I want him in Portland but in his place who do we trade? For the right price any player is available. 3 first round draft picks in a talented draft is possibly huge. Instead of Wallace would you rather they take Batum and ?

No I would rather have Batum. He is younger and has a very bright career ahead of him, and your right about the picks, but they would all be coming from "play off capable teams" landing us 3  20-30 picks, maybe giving us a chance to trade up. But I believe he has allot more talent than 3 20-30 picks inless he has talked to the blazers office and requested a trade or does not intend to resign then we get what we can outta him.

I don't think you have to choose between Batum and Wallace. They seem to be sharing minutes quite well. The trend the Portland staff has followed recently is bringing in veterans. I don't think they'll trade one of their best veterans for draft picks. Wallace may be traded at some point, but I get the feeling he will be around for this full season.

I liked the deal, despite being as big a Crash fan as I am.  However, I would have insisted on that trade exception coming back also.  There is some fear, real or perceived, that Gerald will use his player opt and bail, leaving Portland empty handed.  Remember, unlike Crawford, Wallace is not a native of the northwest.

I don't care if the Lakers started 0-2, they can't have Crash.

I think last night's game is a good forecast for what we can expect to see from him this year. LA and GW for allstar 2012!

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
