Listen, I understand the practice was voluntary, and most all the other Blazers enjoy spending this extended off-time with their friends and family. But there's a lot of work to cram into 3 weeks before the season starts. If the Blazers look tubby, off-balance, and out of shape when the season starts, I'd like to fall back and have everyone look at this day.

Trail Blazers open practice facility doors, one NBA player shows up

They say it pretty clearly in the article dude, just because other players weren't here doesn't mean they aren't getting ready. Steve Blake still lives in Portland with his family, that's why he was here. Lamarcus lives in Texas, for example, so before you worry that he isn't training up, maybe check if there's an article about the Dallas gyms?

Now that you mention it though, the ONLY other Blazer that I feel confident saying he actually lives in Portland is... Jeff Pendergraph? This is just off the top of my head as far as where the other guys are in the offseason, if anyone can fill in the gaps or correct my assumptions, please feel free...
    Aldridge - Texas
    Mathews - Wisconsin?
    Batum - France
    Camby - Texas
    Wallace - North Carolina
    Roy - Washington
    Felton - North Carolina
    Smith - North Carolina
    Mills - Australia
    Babbitt - Nevada
    A. Johnson - Nevada
    C. Johnson - ?

i'm not worried our guys are not here yet. it was pretty short notice about the gyms being open (that could be why they were open to any nba player -- for geographic reasons). the blazers players will probably trickle in over the coming days. training camp starts december 9.

Pendergraph technically is not in the nba at the moment, so i'm not aware that he has any nba practice facility privileges (it's possible, but also could be the reason he's not there).

@blazer247: not a bad listing. as far as your question marks, etc., Wesley has been in wisconsin. Patty is no longer in australia; he's playing in china now. i'm not sure i remember where Chris is, but according to his wife, they are coming back to portland on sunday (december 4).

Yep, as others have stated above me, move along, nothing to see here. It's not a big deal. All of our guys have been working out hard during the summer and probably want to stay home as long as possible to get in as much family time as possible before arriving in Portland. Just because they weren't in Portland on the first day doesn't mean anything negative.

Yeah, they barely had time to get a plane ticket. Also, a fundamental point is that Steve Blake isn't a Blazer anymore; he's a Laker. So if HE's going to a gym in his hometown, I bet the other guys hit any available NBA gym when they opened. Except Batum... but he's been tearing up the French League, so no worries.

I never pegged Damian as the entourage kinda guy. I figured more by himself, probably has one or two friends that he''s really really tight with, close with his family.

Time will tell. As it is well known round these parts, I do not have much hope for athletic big men. (JJ Hickson doesn''t count).

Okay, I''ll admit it, I like Asik better. I definitely think they will both have very good careers. And finally, someone who agrees, that Ibaka is a  shot blocker, not really a great defender.

Magic have a center and tons of young talent, extra picks and a future with a lot of cap space so yah the MAGIC.

Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.
