His coach said that he will play on wednesday in Bilbao with his french team...

Obviously, this is extremely reprehensible and even irresponsible

I'm excited about Batum this year. I watched him play some games in Europe and he looks much more confident in himself. Obviously he has always looked better in France with a lower level of competition, but judging by what I've seen and an interview I read from him, it sounds like he's ready for a great year. Watching him last year was difficult sometimes because you would see moments where he looked like one of the best players in the NBA and then the next minute he would be extremely passive sitting in the corner waiting for the ball, but I think those days are past him.

I don't know if anybody has posted this here, but this is a great article about Batum and his change over the summer. http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2011/11/trail_blazers_forward_nicolas_1.html

Potential may not be tangible BDawg, but he is a young player who is from a European country and who has been hurt quite a bit. He has a lot of talent to develop still. Don't forget that he is only 22 years old, which means that he would of barely been out of college if he was an American.

Only thing I'm worried about Batum is, whether he should get his starting job back? Maybe coach can bring Camby off the bench, and start Aldridge at center?

Doesn't he have a contract with his team in France too? If he had a game in France on Christmas, I wouldn't expect him to skip out on a Nov. 30th NBA game. I mean... by this logic everyone should just sit in a hermetically sealed room all off-season. Players need to practice and keep up their skills. Injuries happen but it's a completely reasonable risk.

sign oden to 3 year and 1 million per year. if he plays like he was supoosed to be when we drafted him, we got a steal. if we get allen too, we are going deep in the playoff since our last champ season. imagine this, damian going for a 3, he make it,...

Barnes would not fit in Portland. His attitude is completely wrong. Sanders has anger problems, but is not an bad guy. Barnes is dirty. Tony Allen already has an excellent core in Memphis. Z-Bo, Gasol, and Conley. He has finally found a team which...

Dion is good as well. Harrison isn''t great at any one thing. He''s a very good defender, a solid three point shooter, he is athletic, strong, can take it to the rack well, has a decent mid range game, and a good attitude. This collection of good ...

Rookies are fine a team should be able to carry 5 of them easily. The problem with us last year was we had no depth in front of the rookies. Lillard and Leonard as lottery picks should have gotten lots of playing time, which they did. However, Bar...
