That this reality tv-esc nba drama is still being had and not actual basketball. I'll be honest, I am going to come crawling back to watch the blazer's whenever they do come back, however, I am going to make it my life's goal from today forward to find other sports to put my enjoyment/time into. Sure this won't hurt david stern or anyone else driving this masochistic bus veering into oncoming traffic that is otherwise known as the NBA, but I don't care, whoever I have to hurt (financially), the usher's at the games, the people selling popcorn, the scalpers trying to get rid of those last few tickets, not to mention the local eateries and gift shops in the surrounding areas of the rose garden, none of you will be saved from my pernicious lack of spending.
I've never really been vinto hockey, and soccer is a little slow for my tastes, but i don't care, you've left me no choice but to broaden my horizons and learn to enjoy other aspects of life, i've even started reading again lately, and to all this I blame Michael Jordan, Paul Allen, David Stern, Chris Broussard, Friedrich Nietzche, Ghandi, The luck dragon from Never-ending-story, and anyone else i deem in need of blame, my only hope is that when the 'beams' finally cease to hold up, and the 'dark tower' david stern lives in finally falls, that a new entity of American Basketball will rise up from the ashes like a mythic phoenix and be reborn into something smaller (and definitely more pure) than this monster that the nba has become.

/end of rant, please bring me back my blazers

    I was reaching.
Watching Billy and Derek's press conference tells me one thing, it's personal between the NBAPA and the NBA, which can only spell doom.

While I may agree to some extent and can certainly empathize with your frustration, I am in favor of an overhaul and will be patient so long as that is the end result.  I can no longer justify spending consistently deminishing disposable income on regular season tickets supporting millionaires not playing near their potential because they're not in a contract year.  Ridiculous and absurd.  I am strongly in favor of much shorter max deals (3 years) as I feel the level of play/effort is drastically in need of said adjustment.  The game has suffered horribly over the last 20 years and has become more about flash than substance, Sportscenter than W/L %.  I'm done.  With todays news, it looks likely there won't be a season...as I've said was the most likely scenario all along.  If, in the long term, the game benefits...I'm all for it.

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
