UPDATE: With 43 percent of the vote, the December 1, 1990 game against the SuperSonics in Seattle is the winner and will be played simultaneously at seven local Buffalo Wild Wings locations starting at 7 PM Wednesday.

The Portland Trail Blazers and corporate partner Buffalo Wild Wings have teamed up to give fans the opportunity to gather and watch classic games from the team’s rich heritage.

Starting Wednesday, Nov. 9, seven Portland Metro-area Buffalo Wild Wings locations will simultaneously air select Trail Blazers games every Wednesday for six weeks. The games will be voted on by fans each week at trailblazers.com starting today, with polls closing on Mondays. The winning game will then be announced on Trail Blazers Courtside on Monday nights. Go here for more information and locations of participating Buffalo Wild Wings.

To start out the Rip City Classics, we decided to go straight to the finish. The best finishes, that is. There have been some incredible late-game dramatics throughout 41 years of Portland Trail Blazers basketball, and we thought the best way to tipoff the next six Wednesdays at Buffalo Wild Wings would be to play one of those fantastic finishes. So we went through the archives and pulled the game footage from four games that featured the most thrilling conclusions. And it comes as no surprise that all four contests required overtime before the game was decided.

Now it is time for you to decided. You've got four options to choose from and you can vote as many times as you are able for the game you would like to see played in its entirety at all seven participating Buffalo Wild Wings. Voting is set to end right before Trail Blazers Courtside airs Monday night at 6 PM.

One last thing. Fear not if the game you want to see played doesn't win the vote this week. The "second place" videos from the first five weeks will comprise the voting options for the sixth and final Rip City Classic game. Sort of like the wild card race.

And now, your options for the first game of the Buffalo Wild Wings Rip City Classics. Vote for the game you would most like to see from the following:

January 22, 1983: Portland Trail Blazers v. Houston Rockets at The Summit
The Summit in Houston was the location of this overtime tilt between the Trail Blazers and Rockets in the winter of 1983. The Trail Blazers were outscored in three of the first four quarters before setting two records in overtime. One of those records will never be broken and the other still stands today.

December 1, 1990: Portland Trail Blazers v. Seattle SuperSonics at Seattle Center Coliseum
The Trail Blazers and Supersonics needed not one, not two, but three overtimes in one of the all-time classic games of the now-defunct I-5 Rivalry. Almost 15,000 fans watched at Key Arena as the Blazers and Sonics went blow-for-blow for 63 minutes before a victor was finally crowned. Also of note: a 25 year-old Nate McMillan played 19 minutes in this game.

May 5, 1990: Portland Trail Blazers v. San Antonio Spurs at the HemisFair Arena
Game 5 of the 1990 Western Conference semi-finals was a tiring affair, and not only because it took two extra frames to decide the final score. Head coach Rick Adelman had only eight players dressed, which is a tough row to hoe in a standard 48-minute affair, let alone a 58-minute playoff game. And after two Trail Blazers fouled out, Adelman was left with just one sub to work with until the final buzzer sounded.

March 3, 1991: Portland Trail Blazers v. Los Angeles Lakers at the Great Western Forum
There was much at stake when the Trail Blazers travelled to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers at the Great Western Forum back on March 29, 1991. Only 1.5 games separated the Trail Blazers, who were in first place in the Pacific Division at the time, and Lakers going into the home-stretch of the season. It looked as though the Lakers would run away with this one in the first half, but a third-quarter rally brought the Blazers back from the dead.

Game 5 Double OT against the Spurs was insane!  One of the best games if not the best 7 game series I've ever seen the Blazers play.   After getting slaughtered in San Antonio for games 3 and 4, the Blazers, who had not yet emerged as a Western Conference perennial contender, needed game 5.   Only 8 players dressed that night if I remember correctly, and two would later foul out.

It also would eventually set up game 7 against the Spurs where Kevin Duckworth would emerge from the lockerroom just before tip off, having shed his cast protecting his broken hand for the first time in more than 3 weeks.   The crowd errupted for what seemed like three minutes or more.   I still get chills thinking about it.   Game 7 would also go to overtime with Drexler, Porter, and Kersey leading a late charge.

I remember all the games listed here and all were good, but none were as good or as exciting as Game 5.....with so much on the line for the playoffs.   Everyone was on pins and needles with every posession for the entire game as these two conference heavy weights exchanged blows for seven straight games.

The Laker game was good too and included a 27 point comeback if memory serves and was really won when James Worthy inexplicably passed the ball cross court to a referee and out of bounds.....seeing the ref out of the corner of his eye and thinking it was a fellow team member.   The blazers took possession and iced the game.

How about the game in the playoffs against the Phoenix Suns--it was double overtime, I think and the score was way up there! Then, when we won, Buck Williams threw the ball straight up into the air a mile! Love to see that one again!

How about game 7 against the Spurs at the Coliseum in 1990?

We'll have a "Great Playoff Game" vote as well, so fear not, those of you putting in other suggestions.

I really want to see that Lakers game mostly for the fact they beat us 3 straight times in the 91 playoffs later on that year and it was an amazing comeback. I would have voted for the Sonics game but I really don't think TP's game-tying 3 in overtime was good. I guess we should say thank goodness for no instant replay back then? Regardless, that was still an amazing game. 3 overtimes? In Seattle? Sounds good to me!

Lakers or Sonics, I'm good with either one! If it is indeed the Sonics, seeing that logo in that arena will bring back some memories! I know the Blazers win, but I hope Shawn Kemp had a few nasty dunks in that one as well.

That was before he had a chance to get Sanders or Nelrens Noel. Plus he is a GM hard to believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

Potential out weighs them all are you serious OJ Mayo has more potential than Batum, then you add in what Landry and Barnes provide plus whatever 2 first round picks offer and it is not even close.

Cmeese, actually Nico is kinda aggressive. He is always arguing with the refs. Not in his play though.

I would trade the pick, the team is in rebuild mode and I am not sure Burke is the guy I really want on my team. Since my team needs a PG a PF and maybe a SG depending on how they feel about Afflalo still.

Right now, the most realistic is Asik. If Houston pursue D12, sign and trade JJ and a couple second round picks, maybe Joel Freeland or somebody for Asik.
