    The Game: The 1990-91 Lakers vs. The 1990-91 Blazers

    Why he's in the game: "No player was better at making the players around him better," Boenisch said. "He's the ultimate teammate and the general of the 'Showtime' Lakers. He's also the first guy I brought up when we started discussing this feature." Fun matchup against a Blazer team that features the likes of Terry Porter, Clyde Drexler and even Danny Ainge. Talk about classic 1990s basketball.


    We all know unfortunately how the 91 Blazers had their title run end in six games to the Lakers. LA took Game 1 in suprising fashion as they erased a 12 point lead after three quarters to steal the home court advantage the Blazers worked so desperately hard for. The Trail Blazers had won a franchise-best 63 games and won 16 of their last 17 games heading into the playoffs but a dropped 3-on-1 fast break and missed jumper with the clock expiring crushed any dreams of repeating 1977 during a Game 6 loss.

    But now, you can take down Magic and the Lakers any time, any place, anywhere! I would love to get that team in the open court with Drex and Kersey while bombing 3's with Porter and Ainge out of the half court set.

    Who will be on the roster? I loved 2K11 but there were only 6 actual Blazers and no Kevin Duckworth whom was a starter in that series I believed. The roster I believe would be pretty much identical wouldn't it aaside from some draft picks and stuff? It would have been fun to use guys like Mark Bryant and Petrovich.

    I agree my fellow Frog. No Duck was a travesty last year. And as cool as it was playing with that 92 team in 2k11, it made it hard to do so with only 6 players, because I don't want to play with the impostors. What I REALLY would love would be able to run an entire season/franchise with the 90-91 Blazers against other 91 teams or even against current teams. It could be like "Blazers vs. Bulls" (the early 90s video game) but with next gen graphics and gameplay.
