Finding the formula for ultimate success in the NBA
He ranks the top 25 players at every position.

Former Blazer PG Andre Miller comes in at #8.

The Trailblazers 2011-'12 starting line up.
Raymond Felton comes in at #11.
Wesley Matthews comes in at #14.
Gerald Wallace comes in at #9.
LaMarcus Aldridge comes in at #5.
Marcus Camby comes in at #13.

Not very many teams can say every player of their starting line up is a top 15 player at the their position.

Now if we could only fix that bench... :)

i suspect felton could move up if he started. im assuming they took into account that he on the bench when in denver

When he was starting with the NYN he averaged 17 points and 9 assists. If he didn't get trade he would have been ranked higher

so does this mean there is no excuse for this team not to win?
Or that if they dont win this time then Nate gets the boot?
    its gotta mean something....

I honestly think Felton is going to help our system and climb the ranks into top 10.

And it does mean something. It means we coulda been a contender.... Yeah, where is Nate ranked as a coach? He might be a piece that goes if we don't make it past the first round next season. I'm not saying that's what needs to happen, but I wonder if the management will go that direction if they have a lot of faith in this roster.

I agree with you though, LAS. We have to do something about our bench. Nic was ranked at #21, and if you count Roy, that's 2 good bench players. Otherwise, we have problems. Has anyone noticed that we go on a scoring slump every time LA comes out of the game? Championship teams don't have that. Even when Dirk comes out of the game, the Mavs can score.

That list didn't include Roy or Oden, two players full of promise and frowned upon due to injury.  Once Roy gets his shot down, and Oden can play 20 minutes or so, we're in good hands.  I also think that with Felton, Wallace can be more of a scorer.  Not to mention Wesley is like our 3rd best player and he's only in his 2nd year.

I think it would be hard for anyone to include Oden in a "Best Center" list just because he hasn't played enough NBA games to prove what he's worth. Although I do think he'll be a force to be reckoned with when he's playing healthy. Also, the list says "at the end of the season." So Oden can't really be included because he didn't play this year.

I do think it's ridiculous that Roy wasn't included. Anyone in their right mind would put him way above Matthews and most 2 guards in the league. A lot of people would've put him at #3 or 4 overall before he went out this season.

Brandon Roy has actually competed with Dwayne Wade as the 2nd best Shooting Guard in the league for the last 3 years or so... His injury this season is what kept him from joining the top of the list.

Roy was the 2nd best SG in 2009. What he did to the Rockets, against top notch defenders like Artest and Battier was impressive. Wade the year before led the Heat to the worst record in the league...

i would of been happy, but the fact that he was like traded the DAY BEFORE THIS LIST CAME OUT, made me too upset at that little Blazer cliche'

it was like as soon as the blazers were done last season, talks started about how good Dre really is? and like the Blazer management, you know the guys who are really supposed to know whats going on around the league, decide, hey, i have a feeling Andre is terrible, we should go after some ....other....random....guy.........

    and pow!
there you have it, that right there, that is the epitome of the Jordan/ Bowie draft.

Well, the lottery is tomorrow, so fingers crossed. What my issue is, is that why would the Bucks trade away one of their best players, and potential DPOY for many years to come, for Nic Batum and a bunch of picks in a weak draft?
