I am hoping that Brandon shocks the world and naysayers. If not, and he doesnt regain that starter caliber play, a line-up of Felton,Wesley,Wallace,L.A.,and whomever, will be a real decent squad.Id like to see CJ gain about ten pounds of muscle. Our bench wont be to shabby either.

@ commontongue...Chris Johnson has reportedly put on 15 pounds of muscle, and is working very hard since the Blazer's season ended.

The Blazers may have a need not yet being heavily discussed when basketball resumes again.  Financially speaking, the team may have to waive Brandon using amnesty, depending on the new CBA.  Felton, Nic, Greg...they all are likely to be in negotiations in a year with ownership already over the cap, and all just as likely justifiably demanding more money, Wallace the following year.  If BRoy is waived, Portland will have a SIGNIFICANT need at the 2, a position traditionally responsible for a large percentage of a team's point total.  Wesley is rehabbing a bad wheel, and would be the only true 2 on the roster.  Smith stands 6'4" ( a generous measurement at that) and quite frankly has me scratching my head with all of the talk of his ability to play either backcourt position.   Nic at the 2 while intriguing, then leaves the squad short at the 3.  The wild card here is Elliot Williams.

In short, I think it too early to be calling starting line-ups, especially with the variable of free agency still on the horizon and health still a concern.  I like what I'm hearing on the Chris Johnson front too.

The NBA Champions, The Dallas Mavericks, started Kidd and Barea at the Finals. IMO size is important but isn't crucial.

Kidd is a big guard. Barea is not. We too will have that size flexibility in Nolan,6'3", and Felton,5'11".Anywho, whats up with Dalembert?

Yeah, when you're getting into quality players, size doesn't say a lot. Wallace and Batum can guard 7 footers like Dirk and Pau and they're 6'7" and 6'8" respectively. In the backcourt, it's even less important. The best shooting guard in the game is 6'4"... One of the most dominating 4's of all time was Charles Barkley: 6'5"... Millsap is a beast on the boards and he's only 6'7" or so. With LeBron's talent, it's just a plus that he's almost 6'9" he could be lighting it up and flying all over the court even if he were a 6'2" guard.

Greg wants a fresh start. Portland wants a fresh start. And thank you, Siccolo, for comparing this to B Roy. Any draft prospect is going to be pretty impressed with what GO can do on the court... even a 75% GO. A kid that has no idea what NBA game...

To go another season with so many rookies is not a good idea. We need a couple of vets and atleast one young bench scorer. If we want a Center, go after Hawes from Philly and Dorrell wright can be signed as a free agent. We can trade our 2nd round...

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.

Sug81 I love Iggy but this team has numerous gaping holes throughout the depth chart so signing Iggy is not the best way to spend our limited funds

That roster looks pretty good, but if we would have enough cash Corey or Ronnie brewer would be nice
