What's going on with this pick? I was under the impression we owned the rights to the 57th pick in the draft via Dallas. this true or was I a lil too buzzed?...

We own the pick via the trade, but they never announced that dallas was picking for us, they always get in a hurry in the second round. But rumor has it we are shopping targuy ngombo, no clue for what though.

Jonathan Givony reports on Twitter that the surprise Qatar player that the Timberwolves were after (using Portland's 57th pick) may have been lying about his age:

"Uh-oh, looks like our guy T'Wolves draft pick Tanguy Ngombo has been busted for lying about his age: http://bit.ly/kfxzqp (hat-tip @sJacas )"

He says this is common practice in Qatar to nationalize players. The fact that Ngombo is 27 may mean that his is ineligible to be drafted:

"NBA should invalidate it. Not that it matters, but he was ineligible to be drafted. RT @kpelton: So what happens to the Tanguy Ngombo pick?"

He was hidden because they found out that he lied about his age.

I'm sure Blazers Mng know about this by now and are keeping it quite.

Instead of being 21 he is actually about to turn 27.

Which would probably not be that big of a problem if he had star qualities.

But by the time he is ready to be some kind of a supporting player he will be in his thirties.

So Portland were probably looking to trade him along with some other so called minor pieces, but know I doubt that any other team will be interested in #57 T.Ngombo.

Funny how this is not reported on this website or the Oregonion.

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
