Somewhere in the draft frenzy, i remember why i even started truly giving a damn about the Blazers again. I had never stopped watching the games, but i certainly didnt care very much about the well being of our players. Just an unsavory bunch of misfits, that were paid handsomely, for showing a potential that never materialized. At least not while they were here. Then i remember an article i read in Blazers Edge.

First, you have to understand everything that Roy means to the Blazers. There   are his on-court contributions, of course, but that's a small part of what Roy   represents to the team. When the Blazers drafted Roy with the sixth overall pick  in the 2006 NBA draft they were looking for more than a new franchise player,   they were also looking for someone of high character to help the team put the   "Jail Blazers" era behind them. Fans in Portland had become disenchanted with   the team after years of character issues, and the team needed to win them back.   As it turned out, they couldn't have chosen a better man for the job. Brandon   Roy's incredible integrity, as much as his brilliant play on the court, soon had  fans Blazers clambering for NBA tickets once again.

That young man is the reason that there is any semblance of passion in this city about basketball again. If you didnt know that, you better ask someone. I know its a business, but it wasnt business that brought respectability to this franchise, it was Brandon. I hope this organization shows the same faith in him as he did in believing that we had his back.

My concern is adding "the reason for the demise of the team" to Brandon's resume.  More interested in keeping his memory a positive one.  Brandon is a throwback to a simpler time, both on the court and off, and my respect for him is considerable.

Of the teams in the conference-finals: Heat, Grizzlies, Spurs, Pacers

Only two have a top tier Center (and Hibbert is very one-dimensional, so I''m not even sure if you can consider him a top tier). I''m not saying it doesn''t help, I''m...

That was before he had a chance to get Sanders or Nelrens Noel. Plus he is a GM hard to believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

Blame Hollywood all the time on TV I see women like Nikita beating up men, even elite fighting men.

Potential out weighs them all are you serious OJ Mayo has more potential than Batum, then you add in what Landry and Barnes provide plus whatever 2 first round picks offer and it is not even close.

Cmeese, actually Nico is kinda aggressive. He is always arguing with the refs. Not in his play though.

I would trade the pick, the team is in rebuild mode and I am not sure Burke is the guy I really want on my team. Since my team needs a PG a PF and maybe a SG depending on how they feel about Afflalo still.

Right now, the most realistic is Asik. If Houston pursue D12, sign and trade JJ and a couple second round picks, maybe Joel Freeland or somebody for Asik.
