NBA Trade Rumors Say New York Knicks And Portland Trailblazers Are

    Cooking Something Up

The New York Knicks and Portland Trailblazers are two teams dangerously close

to contending for an NBA title.  The Knicks have reportedly contacted the

Trailblazers about multiple players including Andre Miller, Marcus Camby, Rudy

    Fernandez, and Nicolas Batum.

In this case, is interest in multiple players pointing to a blockbuster?

The Trailblazers would love an upgrade at the point guard position.  If the

Knicks offer up Chauncey Billups, all of a sudden, that could really spark

    Portland's interest.

if the Trailblazers would be willing to give up Marcus Camby, Andre Miller,

and maybe Rudy Fernandez, the Knicks could deal them Chauncey Billups and throw

    in Tony Douglas.

The Knicks would get a starting caliber point guard in Miller, center in

Camby, and a little bench improvement with Fernandez.

If Portland re-signs Greg Oden, they would have an impressive starting five

in Billups, Brandon Roy, Gerald Wallace, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Oden.  Knicks

would send out Miller, Landry Fields, Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudamire, and

    Camby.

This is all speculation of course.  There have been talks.  We'll see if a

deal gets done before the draft.

I can't see how anyone would consider this as a good trade for Portland.  How old is Billups?  I think we should go a little younger.  This seems to be a good trade for New York.

I'd rather have Billups than Dre honestly, and I love Dre.  Not too found of trading Batum in this one though.  Don't think we get enough to give him up for an aging point guard.

Billups' peak is higher than Dre's but that ship has sailed on Chancey's career and Dre is the better player currently as he just keep trucking along.

Also to the original poster, please link to the story as well so they get credit for it and don't paste the entire article, just a paragraph or two.

    Thanks

Billups and Miller are the same age. unless its a trade Miller for Billups or Billups and Douglas for Miller and Fernandez its a bad trade for Portland.
I am a fan of Portland's big three. Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge and the newest Trail Blazers Gerald Wallace

Billups can hit a jumper and dish the ball.
Miller can dish the ball and has great team chemistry

    bad side:
Billups is a die hard fan of John Elway ( that pigoen toed F*** )
Miller cannot make a jumpshot to save his...or Rondo's life

    therefore
    Miller < Billups

but if i was NY there would be no way i would be ready to make a trade after barley test driving that team out.....

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
