The 2011 NBA Draft is closing in, and I'm getting excited like I always do. That aside, I was curious as to who all of the folks here at -IAMATRAILBLAZERSFAN.COM- we're interested in seeing the Trailblazers pick up in this years draft. Personally, I'm hoping they add depth at the 4 or 5. Like Paul Allen, I love PG's, but unless we're trading up into the top 7 picks I'm not really interested in any PG's outside of one guy. Besides next years Free Agent class should have some of the top PG's in the league. Anyways, who are a few guys you all think the Blazers should pick up?
    As for myself...

    Round 1
Kennith Faried: Height: 6'7" - Weight: 225 lbs
Averaged 17.3 points on 62.3% shooting & 14.5 rebounds per contest.
Faried is a MONSTER, make sure to capitalize that, on the boards he would give the Blazers some much needed depth at the 4 position.

Darius Morris: Height: 6'5" - Weight: 190 lbs
Averaged 15 points on 48.9% shooting & 6.7 assists per contest.
Who better to replace an aging Andre Miller than... a young Andre Miller? This kid reminds me SO MUCH of Andre and I think he would be a solid back-up PG moving forward.

Bismack Biyombo: Height: 6'9" - Weight: 243 lbs
This kid is EXTREMELY quick and athletic and quick for a big man. Supposedly his offensive game is VERY raw, but his potential is through the roof. He would most likely be a project, but could very well be worth it in the long run.

    Round 2
    Matthew Bryan-Amaning: Height: 6'10" - Weight: 232 lbs
Averaged 15.3 points on 54.6% shooting & 8.0 rebounds per contest.
Again, another big man to bring in some depth at PF. His athleticism is crazy. Shoot we already lead the league in ally-oops, why not get a few more athletic big men who can convert on them?

Keith Benson: Height: 6'11" - Weight: 217 lbs
Averaged 17.9 points on 54.7% shooting & 10.1 rebounds per contest.
Honestly this guy reminds of Chris Johnson a little bit. Tall & lanky, plays D (averaged 3.6 bpg), overall I think he could be a solid reserve at center whenever needed.

Just my thoughts, who would you like to see rocking the Red & Black next year?

I would take any of those three in the first round. Let's just hope one of them is available at #21

I think some team will pick kemba walker then Portland will make a trade with that team and swap draft picks and maybe pick up some players from that team. but who would they trade? rudy, dre, batum, matthews, roy?
I am a fan of Portland's big three. Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge and the newest Trail Blazers Gerald Wallace

If we remain at #21 I think we will draft either Faried or Reggie Jackson.

The word is that Reggie Jackson has canceled all of his workouts. The last two times this has happened in the draft, the Blazers ended up drafting that player. It said he canceled all of his workouts because he has a promise from a team, but I have also heard that he is injured and that is the reason for him not doing workouts. This is all specualtion right now though, he might have a promise from another team, i.e. Oklahoma, or he might be injured. We better not even think of drafting him if he is injured. Seems to be our thin though, drafting injured players.

We got 2 crummy picks. Not much to get excited for. We woulda had 3 crummy picks, but Cho decided to take one with him to his new team.

Is this conspiracy theory going around now? We really think Cho was making deals in order to set himself up as GM for Charlotte? If I were Cho and I knew ahead of time that I would be working for the Bobcats, I would NEVER take Charlotte's best player away. Just saying....

Now on the actual topic... the draft. I don't see us really getting much with these picks, so I do agree with you on that point Tobyus. But I want Faried on the team, whatever that takes.

Is anybody really high on Reggie Jackson? Personally I dont really care for him. He's a shooting guard trapped in a pg's body...

I still think we should go after Devin Harris and get out of the draft.

Just say no to Reggie Jackson. Our team is in no position to take a player with a knee injury.

    Here's what I'd like-

    #21
    Option A- Markieff Morris
    Option B- Kenneth Faried
    Option C- Donatas Motiejunas

    #51
    Option A- Jimmy Butler
    Option B- Malcolm Lee
    Option C- E'Twaun Moore

well mccollum looks cool but lillard was a rarity when it comes to small school ballers being successful I don''t see 2 small school ballers 2 drafts in a row especially one comeing from a weak draft being anything spectacular
