    I think after game 4 it's safe to assume retirement isn't on his mind, even if it's on Blazer management's minds, and while I would not be against releasing Roy through an amnesty agreement in the new CBA, I would even more so love to keep him at the veterans minimum. Where am I going with this?
    If we release someone through amnesty (as they allowed in the previous new CBA) what happens to the players? Obviously if we release Roy another team will want to pick him up (at the minimum) because he's worth the gamble if it's at the veterans minimum, so my question is how does waiving a player work in the NBA?
    When we waive him through amnesty, does another team have the option of picking him up (similar to when the Vikings released Randy Moss), based on the worst record getting first option and ending with the team with the best record? Or are we able to pick him back up for the minimum? Are we able to pick him up at all if we use amnesty on him? Would he want to come back to us if we did this?
