    what do you guys think abt this trade ?

    Houston ; Pg. Kyle Lowry Pf. Patrick Patterson & C H Thabeet

    Blazers ; Pg. Andre Miller Pg/Sg. Eliot Williams Sg. Rudy Fernandez & C. Chris Johnson

    that trade works on Espn trade machine.

    Starting line up
    1. k lowry / p mills
    2. w matthews / b roy
    3. g wallace / n batum
    4. l aldridge / p patterson
    5. m camby / h thabeet / g oden ( till he gets bck frm injury )

    we have a good young point guard a good bck up power forward , and no tooo mention more depth at C what do you think Rip City give me feed bck on this trade ?

    I don't know if any one realizes how good Kyle Lowry is.  I'm picking him second round in fantasy next year.  Lowry would solve our PG problems.

    I just don't see the Rockets doing that move. Lowry proved to be an All-Star caliber guard for them once they traded away Brooks and Patterson was their lottery pick just one year ago.

    I am at a loss.  I have not seen Thabeet play and I have only seen Kyle Lowry briefly.  I think it does start to solve some of the problems we see with the current lineup.  Can we break down this trade as:

    Lowry = Miller

    Thabeet = Johnson

    Fernandez + Williams = Patterson

    If I look at this this way I would probably do the trade.  I do not think Houston would do the trade if they give up their starting pg.

    I'm not a fan of trading Chris Johnson right now. He was really the only bench player to step up his game in the Dallas series (unless you count Roy who is more of an injured starter than a true bench player). We've only seen him play 14 games for us, and he's proven to fit pretty well into our system in those 14 games. I wouldn't trade him until the deadline, and ONLY if he ends up not being as much of an asset as he looks like now.

    I would like to get Lowry, no problems there. I just think it would take more than Miller and Fernandez/Williams to make that happen.

    Patterson couldn't really hurt at backup PF, but I wouldn't target him specifically, and my hope is that we do what we can to draft Faried... backup 4 taken care of right there.

    Lowry is their pgotf, he almost helped them climb back into the playoffs after they traded Brooks (which seemed like a huge mistake until Lowry started imposing his will on other teams), hereminds me a lot of miller in certain ways in terms of toughness and taking advantages of weaker guards. Not even sure if they would trade Lowry for Batum straight up at this point, but what about dragic? is he a free agent or still on their team?

    Lowry = Miller

    Thabeet = Johnson

    Fernandez + Williams = Patterson

    i dont think its that easy to compare players like that.
    because can Lowry shoot? because if he can than he is not equal to miller, cos miller couldnt hit blake griffin if he was standing in front of him....... hah......

    I did not mean it would be that easy.  Gain pg lose pg, gain center lose center, gain pf lose sg and pg/sg.  Nothing is that easy.

    Since Lowry has a lower FG% that Miller and Lowry has a lower FT% than Miller I can only assume you are talking about 3pt %.  Is that correct?

    haha Id love it if we could do this but there is absolutely no way the rockets would do that trade.  they arent about to give away lowry for a 35 year old pg who probably will be retired in a couple years

    Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

    However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
