    Via CBS-
The Trail Blazers, Lakers, Hawks, Bulls, and 76ers are among the teams expressing the most sincere interest, league sources said Thursday. A possible deal between Golden State and Philadelphia involving Ellis and Andre Iguodala is a “50-50” proposition at the moment, a person with knowledge of those talks said.

What do you guys think? Is Ellis a good  fit in Portland? What's the most you would offer Golden State for him?

I think Ellis would be a good fit. He can shoot and create his own shot. Big scorer but my only thing is I kind of question his passing sometimes. As far as who we would give up, I think it would have to be Andre, Nic, and our first rounder at least..but i would go after this

before last season i would be totally against bringing him on board, but he showed amazing growth in maturity this past season i thought, and call me crazy but I think he and Roy would play well off each other, but ellis hates coming off the floor, and we are loaded at the 2, so there are many if's involved depending on what are roster would look like afterwards.

Plus Ellis has a little bit of that nasty (killer instinct) that lacks in a lot of other players, and he is one of those players who isn't afraid to take important shots, two things we lacked in the playoffs. Aldridge made huge steps in the regular season, but at times in the playoffs he still looks like Lebron in game 4, doing everything except putting the ball in the basket, but then again the amount of minutes and lack of depth  (to get fouls and bang under the basket from other players) didn't help him down the stretch.
That being said, even if our roster was identical (rudy included) next year to what it is at the end of last, I would still be optimistic to see these guys gain some chemistry, and get some extra rest from this imminent lockout.

Batum would be the centerpiece of this trade I would think.

    agreed.
last season and before, his play was just the complete opposite of what the fans of portland were interested in, but now....its a different story.
personally he is an awesome player, and if this team really wants to go after kemba walker, seriously, go after ellis, its like kemba gone "super sain"

if we did this we would again have a big 3 even with out roy and greg. Wallace, Ellis, and Lamarcus makes for a sick roster however i think wesely proved him self last year and has alot of room to grow. you can not have wesley, roy and ellis all playing the 2 gaurd so unless they are looking at putting him at the point gaurd i dont see this happening.

Ellis is a Beast. Id really like to see him work on his pg skills and take over the point for us. He's a Russell/Rose, quick and athletic.Makes big shots, and will push the rock.

Could we swap Roy (plus cash to offset Roy's paycheck), Rudy, Babbit and a possible pick for Ellis?

I love the idea of Ellis.

My problem with trade rumors is I have a hard time thinking about giving up some of our guys :(

Even though Monta is much more of a 2 guard than a point guard, he can score and right now that is what we lack. He still managed to averaged over 5 assists per night in Golden State, which isn't great but not bad either.

5 assists in golden state is 3.25 in our offense. He plays 48 minutes a game to get those, and they have lots of transition baskets, 5 is better than none but it's nothing to hang your hat on when you touch the ball as often as he does with a spot up shooter like Curry to dish it to.

simple fact is, everyone will have to just wait to find out......

this offense may be slow, but maybe Nate will get a wake up call......or a crazy threatening death call........

If we keep Roy, Wesley, Wallace, LA and Oden, I would love to pick up Ellis.

Point blank is that weed offence..Where is it gonna come from with this current team?  Is it Nate's style of ball or is it the players not pushing it up court? I used to think it was Nate, but then I hear him telling his players durring time-out's to push. I don't think it's Andre Miller, because he can play both styles of offence. With that being said, we need to make some off season roster moves to speed things up and and get that go to guy that wins games in the final sec/min.  I feel Portland should dump their picks this year and include the likes of Rudy, Babbit and or Armon J to get Ellis. If this deal falters then PDX needs to seriously concentrate Dwight Howard and real him in. PDX is a 1 to 2 players away from giving several teams some serious fits and jumping into that elite group.
