I was just wondering where LMA falls in the league. I think PF is now one of the most important positions in the game bc true centers are an endangered species.

IMO, here is a list of "A" level PFs in the league:
    Garnett, Boozer, Scola, Al Jefferson,

and here are some "A+" PFs:

Dirk, Griffin, Randolph, Bosh, Love, Stoudemire, LMA, P. Gasol

Dirk - unstoppable, not a great defender
Griffin - numbers are inflated on a bad team, but undeniably talented and so young
Randolph - looked very unstoppable this year. Underrated.
Bosh - he's really stepped his game up lately, and his numbers are great next to two of the leagues best
Love - inflated numbers. Definitely talented. (Love and Griffin will be at the bottom of my list bc they haven't shown the ability to will their teams to the playoffs.)
Stoudemire - puts up pts. not a great defender
    LMA - had a career year. Rebs are pretty lower than most of these guys and although he's shown much improvement, he still has room for growth;
    P. Gasol - has the rings, plays both ends, numbers have dropped a little, can sometimes get bullied

*you would be in a good position if you had any of these A+ guys on your team, but just for fun, where would you rank these guys?

    Dirk
    Randolph
    Bosh
    Stoudemire
    LMA
    P. Gasol
    Griffin
    Love

I am a fan of the future NBA CHAMPIONS ...

I personally put him at #1. Yeah Dirk is doing his thang right now BUT i think its just a last give it all you got to win a ring. after that L.A has it hands down. No other PF lead their team to a more or even same level of success that he did.

    Griffen-Highlights
    Love- rebounds
    Amar'e- Scoreing
    Randolph-20pts 10 rebs

thats all these guys can do. Although randolph sounds good on paper this is his first successful team he has been on..
I am a fan of Portland's big three. Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge and the newest Trail Blazers Gerald Wallace

    Top 10.
Aldridge is in the top 10.
but there are alot better PF out there than he is.
i mean dirk automatically goes ahead of him because Aldridge just disappeared in the playoffs...
dirk was absent at times up untill the next round, but still....
Griffin definitely made more noise, but i am eager to see these two play against eachother next year, because all i remember from the clipper opener was blake griffin, dominating.

BUT i think its just a last give it all you got to win a ring. after that L.A has it hands down.

what does this translate too though? that aldridge doesnt want to win a ring?

Or that dirk is only better than aldrdige once aldridge has been eliminated from the playoffs?
i get that you are a fan of the guy, but that really doesnt make sense, even in blazer tongue......

and you even mention ZBo's stats, and seeing as how its like his 3rd year in a row with 20 and 10, i think that totally makes him "The PF that lead his team to a higher level of success" the blazers didnt even make it to the next level, first round bump....again....   :/

I think amare really stepped it up in the sense that he is developing all assets of his game, his D is getting better and now that 18ft jumper is a nice addition to his game.

Pau gasol, totally flaked out last season.
Garnet- mediocre, had a few nice games but, eh..
Tim duncan - same boat as garnet, it was all about tony p and giNOSEbli.....
Bosh- for all the speculation towards that team, and the nasty comments players and people made towards him, i think he is one of the more overlooked players on that team, he is soo crucial to their success. but a great season.....

Love- just had a alright season, stat wise, his efforts really didnt effect his teams success....apparently, but must feel good to be him with that 30 / 30 game.....
I am a fan of The Blazers ♂, the £-Train, and of course, The ¤ King. ™

Looking at a player for the future, you want a guy who's young and talented.  Dirk's the most talented, but he doesn't have a lot of years left.  I think it's between Aldridge and Griffin.  I'd give Griffin the edge because he wants to be the man on his team, while Aldridge will be the man if he has to.  I felt like Aldridge let up a little when Wallace joined the team.  It was like he said, "Oh, good.  We picked up an all-star.  Now I can relax and let him take over."

Don't get me wrong; I like Aldridge a lot.  I just think he's a normal person in that he isn't wild about having to put in 100% and be the focus of everything every night.  It's a lot of work, both physically and mentally, and you have to be really driven about success to crave that.  (And many of the people who do crave it are jerks, which LaMarcus definitely isn't.)
I am a fan of not forgetting about the intangibles.

Rumors have shown that the Rockets are very interested in Dwight Howard and that the interest is mutual.

    I''d trade for Asik.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.
