ESPN.com's Chad Ford released his Mock Draft 3.0 today after the Chicago Combine and group workouts in Minneapolis. He had Portland taking spindly Brazilian 7-footer Lucas "Bebe" Nogueira in his Mock Draft 1.0, which was never going to happen. The Trail Blazers are looking for help now, not three years down the road when Bebe adds 30 pounds.

Which is why I'm not surprised that Ford now has the Blazers taking Kenneth Farried, a 6-9, four-year power forward out of Morehead State.

The Blazers fell in love with Faried last year before he withdrew from the draft. If they are fortunate enough to get a second chance at him this year, they'll grab him. His relentlessness on the boards is a nice complement to LaMarcus Aldridge's more offensive-minded style.

Faried strikes me as just the kind of guy the Trail Blazers would consider at no. 21. It's backup point guard, backup power forward or bust.

You can put together your own mock draft over at Draft Central.

Faried's motor cannot be overstated.  No brainer.

Klay Thompson, he's got NBA range, we stunk at 3 balls last year.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.
