Now, already i can feel the hatred. ugh that purple and gold.
    yuk.

but hear me out, he is an unrestricted free agent, meaning it is up to him. now last season he almost took off because of a lack of playing time but it was the factors of Phil and another ring that ended up persauding him to stay.

Well things are different this time around, after a disgusting end to a hope filled season im sure Senor Shannon is thinking about other options now. If he could receive more playing time and or perhaps an upgraded role and i think he could adjust and adapt well on this team, heck think of the upgraded size of the roster, he is 6'4.
I understand he plays Shooting Guard, but if he were to be put at the point, with his size and speed, i swear it would be like having Magic play the point. It would be unexpected, it would be much needed and least to say it would be amazing to see.
He has mastered the triangle offense, which is a difficult task, now i know nate is no phil, but what i am trying to say is that he knows what to do to get the job done, basketball smarts....

but throw in some other guards, PG & SG.....

Brown would be a super grab.

You're forgetting Portland's first priority since the Jail Blazers era - sportsmanship. Brown would completely ruin the team chemistry especially if you put him at the point. He doesnt get along well with any teammates he has had. I respect Portland's determination to find guys (like Gerald) who have a good prescence off the court. Brown is far from that guy .

other than discriminatory opinions, is there any facts to back up this?

brown is being accused of sleeping with gasol's girlfriend i have read, but thats just because when people in LA are bored, they get creative....

From what i hear Brown is an outstanding teammate, but i guess i haven't read this article about his " jailblazer" attitude.

I'll pass on Brown, just for the simple fact that I think we need more of an impactful role player off the bench. Shannon is a good player as the 7th or 8th guy off the pine, but we need a true legit 6th man of the year type guy filling it up for us, then we can think about adding depth the bench. We do have E-Will though, who I think can become a similar type of player.

Not hating on Brown becasue he is a laker. He has amazing physical abilities, however he is not the guy Portland is looking for and if Brown were to leave LA he is probably expecting a large amount of money for his services. Overpaying for another shooting guard which is the deepest posiion on the roster is unnecessary. Brown is a PG however i feel his style of play reflects that of a shooting guard.

I'll admit that besides of his dating life with girls I dont have much dirt on him. I guess it just is the demeanor he presents on the court. You can tell that the Blazers act much differently than a great amount of NBA players. They're humble, not selfish, and respected as human beings. I'll admit thats just off of assuming and observation tho. And I personally believe all Lakers have terrible attitudes, you can just see it by looking at the bench. They dont have each others backs like Portland.

well, this franchise has always been great at letting true talent pass by....

And I personally believe all Lakers have terrible attitudes, you can just see it by looking at the bench

i dont understand how they dont just lock people like you up.

like how can your mind allow you to make such a false statement?

first, the lakers have more of a bench than the blazers have starters at times.
secondly, if Lamar Odon, being incredibly more skilled/ more valueable than ron artest, sitting on the bench and not complaining represents a bad attitude, then please tell me what represents a good one?
    \
Running and shoving blake griffin because he is dominating the inside in rebounding?
Throwing the ball into the stands due to anger against dallas?

    ( andre miller)

i mean you yourself just said that you dont have much of any "dirt" on him, like your tmz or something, but still you have the balls to say, "And I personally believe all Lakers have terrible attitudes, you can just see it by looking at the bench"

I just dont really understand that, brown is going to be better than any rookie guard this team tries to pick up in the draft, nuff said.

Andre ran into and shoved Blake because blake kept picking with him the previous 2 or 3 plays and he was getting his point across as a man because he spoke to the refs but they ignored him so he knocked him over.

Dre is a consumate professional and was just tired of the favoritism in the league for younger players over established veterans that have paid their dues.

just because he is a blazers, and you are a die hard blaZer fan, he is a saint....

and the statement for favortism towards younger players is... well lets just say if i called that a ridiculous statement, it would be a compliment.....

He's the only young talent left on the Lakers. I think they'll keep that guy unless it involves a trade for a biggy.

well if they go after paul or howard, they just might be foolish enough to slip up and let bynum or brown go.
and i agree that brown is half of the young talent along with bynum being the other half.
but idk i just think that brown is a great basketball player and if this team wants to actually win a championship they need to grab some great players....

    Tay C,

I have a lot of respect for Lamar Odom. He should start over Artest in my opinion. Im just saying I dont think the chemistry of any Laker coming to a Blazers team would be successful. I completely understand wanting to worry about wins rather than chemistry, but obviously the front office just fired their GM over "chemistry", I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm just saying you have to recognize how the administration goes about their trades. I dont see them wanting a guy like Brown.

Ya i'd like to see him on the blazers, he is one of the most athletic guys ive ever seen.  I'd like the Lakers to keep him too since Im a fan of the Lakers and Blazers but I think he might be a better fit here than in LA so id rather he come to Portland than stay in LA.  We should trade Rudy and Roy before we go after Brown though, we are really deep at sg right now as is, so Brown wouldnt get much playing time if we keep our current roster.
I am a fan of the Blazers draft selections. Feels good to finally be able to say that
