    Oregon Live does their annual You Be The GM posts and I like to piggyback off of that and see what the fans here think and compare it to the OLive results. Up first is LaMarcus Aldridge.

    He averaged 20.4 points in December, 24.9 in January, 27.8 in February, 20.1 in March and 20.8 in April. In February he became just the third Blazer ever to win Western Conference Player of the Month, joining Clyde Drexler, 1991, and Kelvin Ransey, 1981.

    LaMarcus broke out in a big way during 2011 and it wasn't only Trail Blazer fans who took notice. He was named Western Conference Player of the Month in February, led the Blazers to 48 wins and was voted on by the media to the All-NBA Third Team. We've seen glimpses before of just how dominant LaMarcus could be but it was only for stretches, never for prolonged periods of time. But injuries to Roy, Oden and Camby forced the go-to role upon Aldridge and he thrived. Even with Brandon not being 100% and Oden's health status up in the air, LA gave Rip City a new life so to speak as he has shown he's able to carry this franchise on his back.

    According to HoopsHype, LaMarcus Aldridge is locked up for a long time. This past season was the first of his five-year extension he signed with Portland. The deal will pay him $11.8 million next season and up to $15.2 million in 2015. Not too shabby considering he's one of the Top 15 players in the game will still continue to grow and progress. I have no idea why anyone would want LA gone, so I'm not even asking!

    I am a fan of being the team to fear in the Western Conference!

    I think what Stotts is doing is superb. His plays are great. I remember the only play he ever called for Meyers Leonard, against the Bobcats. Great movement, got LMA a good mid range look, got Batum a decent three look and the got Meyers way down ...
