The latest rumor has the Spurs trying to use Tony Parker of all people to move up into the lottery.
    Via Real GM-
The Spurs have talked to teams in the lottery, including the Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings, who hold the fifth and seventh picks, respectively. The Kings are determined to get a frontline point guard, and have also talked with the Denver Nuggets about Raymond Felton.

This doesn't make much sense from the Spurs' perspective. Of all drafts, this isn't the one to be moving up in, unless they are assuring themselves of a top 3 pick. Anything less and I think they aren't getting good value for a semi-young All-Star. Maybe they are ready to hand George Hill the keys to the offense?

I think you're right about George taking the reigns. The only thing that intrigues me about TP, is that id like to see the French Connection of he and Batum. Of course if that trade happened, the Spurs would want Batum for him.If he is going to be traded, trade him to the east. Im tired of him disecting our defense.

I'm with you commontongue. If we get TP, we have to keep Nico. The whole point of adding a guy like TP would be his chemistry with Batum but as you said the Spurs would want Nic back in return.

Andy Katz is reporting the Blazers are one of a few teams trying to pursue more draft picks
Cleveland is actively pursuing multiple picks deeper in the first round, as are Portland, Houston and Charlotte.

They've been soft in the pivot position since the departure of Ilgauskis.I think Andre and Camby are on the radar of many squads, even though the focus seems to be on Dre'. Those teams out there who think that Dre' will be a good mentor to a young point guard have a rude awakening coming. Dre is not only a cerebral player, he's a durable one as well. However, i dont think Dre would be very good at being a vocal teacher to a young pg, but more of a teach by example type mentor. I would first make an attempt to pry Devin Harris from Utah. If that includes Dre', which it probably does, i'll take it. Cleveland has Baron Davis to tutor Kyrie Irving, so sending them Dre' would be an overload at that position. I know, i know... you can never have enough pg's and centers, but how many can you afford to pay? So, id send Camby's expiring contract, and the 21st pick to Cleveland for the number 4 pick and snag Walker. Nolan Smith might still be available,in the second round. This kid is going to be a sleeper.

not a 100% sure we can get the 4 pick from the cavs unless we trade someone really valuable which is not worth it. even if we did get the 4 pick i wouldn't pick kemba. Enes kanter or brandon knight would be better. Knight and Kanter have a lot more potential to be someone great. a lot of people say marshon brooks is a sleeper but we already have WM and roy so a solid backup PG for miller would be better pick for us

delonte west. this fool is bi polar,

What is wrong with a person that is Bi-Polar?  You know how many successful athletes are Bi-Polar?  How many have won Superbowls and World Series not to mention been successful actors and actresses or world leaders.

If he is bi-polar or any illness like that, he just needs the right management and support and you would be surprised how much better he can be.

Question:  What was our win percentage after Wallace came to the team?  If we use that percentage against 82 games how many wins does that equate to.  Then what do we need to improve our team.  I am not sure there is any player in this draft that would improve our team.  We need to be careful not to give away too much and in so doing we actually would be worse.  If we want to improve our team we need to acquire established players by trading draft picks for vets.  If we stay at #21 I do not like our chances of improving our team without trades.

    Ricky,

In a sense I would have to agree.  I know we have the 2 injury questions to cover of Roy and Oden.  Can they recover and play to ability.  If not we need to cover those holes.  Then the last hole would be SG.  Is Mathews the SG for us?  or is there an upgrade for us?

Wallace, Aldrige and Camby is set, just how do we Fill the G's and depths if we lose players like Oden and Roy because they never recover from injuries?

I believe Blazer brass will open their wallet for their QBOTF (QuarterBack Of The Future) while using the draft to inexpensively address other needs...one of which isn't getting much play, the need at the 2 (especially if Nic is dealt).  I am convinced the back-up 4 behind LA will be Faried.  I agree with you Rein Man in that there exists a need at the 2, however I would add that that need exists regardless of Wesley's role moving forward.

    Very intersting-
RT @DraftExpress: Teams calling Sacramento about the #7 pick are being told it's already been moved. Problem is, no one knows to who.
Which team could it be? I've heard the Spurs want that pick but I guess we will find out.

Do we have our first trade of the day?

    Chad Ford reports-
Bucks get Beno, Stephen Jackson 9 & 19. Bobcats get pick 7 & Maggette. Kings get 10 & John Salmons.

I guess Batum would be a good fit since Ilysavoa plays 4 more than the 3, which I didnt know lol

I think this would be a really good deal for Bucks then. They can draft Dieng with the 10 and maybe Franklin with their pick.

You''re right. They should dump Monta though. I was thinking maybe the Rockets could use the number 1 pick to get the lakers to do a sign and trade for D12.
