Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has a crush on Rudy Fernandez and during the last Euroleague Final Four played in Barcelona the guard was told that if he leaves the NBA, Madrid will open the doors for him, red carpet included.
Perez wants Rudy to be the "Cristiano Ronaldo of basketball." It doesn't matter if he has to pay him a salary much higher than anyone else on the roster. He tried last summer and he couldn't make it. He's trying again.

I have no problem seeing Rudy go but I'd rather get a 2nd Round pick then just letting him go scott free. Does anyone know if we would get any sort of compensation if we let him leave back to Spain?

I like having Rudy on the roster, but the allure of a lot more money and being the LeBron of Spain is huge for him. I notice he's been going all over Spain and he is treated like a mega celebrity over there, so that makes him want to stay and play ball there instead.

If he is going to go, I don't want him to go for nothing but after all that talk of only wanting to play for a couple of teams last off season, I don't know that many teams will be willing to give anything up for him.
I am a fan of being the team to fear in the Western Conference!

Rudy hustles. I'll give him that, but man where did your 3 point shot go Rudy? It's like trying to find Waldo amongst the masses!

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
