I've been irked by this lately. I recently got into a discussion with a friend of mine (also a avid Blazer fan) about Brandon Roy. He stated that Brandon Roy has reached his ceiling this year, and is at his peak. I do not agree with this. It's a scary thought but I thought about it, last year people were saying the same thing and look what happened. He is so far from his ceiling it's insane. As he learns more about the NBA game and expand on his game and get better at the areas he's already good at it's scary. I can see him being MVP within 5 years.

So my question is, do you think Roy has reached his ceiling? And what places do you think B-Roy needs to improve to get to that next level.
I am a fan of B-Roy and LaMonster!

I would have to say he needs to improve his mid and long range jumper. Although it he is really good as is, he gets a lot of his points in teh paint while getting banged up by the opponents. Scoring is what really keeps him out of that Super Elite class of Lebron, Kobe and Wade. He also needs to get that killer instinct and really attack the defense, not just the basket. As far as MVP it will be hard to beat out LeBron in his prime. He's no where near his ceiling though, but he may reach it sooner than usual because Nate is helping him use all his potiential.

Well look at it this way in the playoffs against a very strong defensive team he dropped 6 more points a game than regular season. He even shot 10% better from 3 and only dropped like 3-4% from 2. I think a lot of people are gonna misunderstand the situation because are team is becoming very well rounded. We do not need him as much as Miami needs Wade or Cavs need Lebron. He plays his role to perfection with assist defense rebounds and points but his actual numbers will probably fall is some categories next year due to our team improving. We all know he can drop 40 points if he is forced to. So they are perfect for there teams and he is perfect for us and he will more than likely never match there numbers unless we rework our whole offense to focus on him which is not needed it will tire him out and more than likely end up hurt. Roy is the man go Blazers.

I totally agree with that. I'm not saying it is what is best for the team that he increase his PPG, or RPG, I just meant that is what it would take for him to get MVP. I think it is LeBron's time and he will continue to get it until they get tired of filling in his bubble.

@Meese, it is quite ironic. They also just so happen to have the planets best player in Lebron James who leads them in rebounding with just over 8 a game.

But that''s what separates them from the rest. Look at the Heat ...

Can Portland give Dallas cash considerations for the 13th pick? If so, make the deal and package the 10th and 13th for the 4th or 5th pick and get Oladipo or McLemore or gamble and wait for C.J. McCollum at 10 and grab Hardway at 13. Either way i ...
