Would have put this in another thread but for some reason I cannot post in any thread on this site at the moment but I'm still able to create a new one.

Portland loses by 8.  After taking the lead back with defensive pressure, rebounds and made FGs the game is literally handed back to Dallas by the officials.  Dallas took 29 attempts from the line to Portland's 13.  The Blazers score almost FIFTY points in the paint and get to the line 13 times.  That math does not add up.

Miami beats the Sixers by 8.  Take a little gander at the box score.  Philly takes 15 FTs to Miami's 39.  Thirty.  Nine.  Free throws.  No team is that bad or overzealous defensively.

Pacers all but dominate the Bulls.  Indiana did fall apart at the end a bit but Derrick Rose made two more FTs than the Pacers even attempted.

I will watch these playoffs until the Blazers nab a trophy or get eliminated and turn the TV off from there on out.  Of those three games the losing teams shot a combined 45 free throws to the winning teams 100.  Outside of shooting a higher %, making more FGs, getting more assists, getting more steals, almost tripling points in the paint and doubling fast break points what in the hell do you have to do in this league to be successful?  I dunno'.  What I do know is that the outcomes of these games are not determined entirely by the skill of the players involved.  They're determined by blown and swallowed whistles.  I'll be compiling various box score stats over the course of the playoffs.  It'll likely end up only amusing me but I recommend any fan of basketball really pay attention to the next few weeks.  Bring on game 2.

I am a fan of Rudy and Patty's off-court bromance.

In case any of you missed this, here is a clip from the end of Game 1 in the DEN/OKC series.  The league is now admitting fault, which comes as little consolation to George Karl and his team.  Perkins' basket was likely the difference in that game, as it came with just over a minute remaining in what would eventually be an OKC 107-103 win in the series opener.

alot of guys on here are so quick to dis credit the other one in their basic knowledge of the game.

well one thing that those people seem to forget is the ability a player has, to draw the foul.

In miami's case, Dwayne Wade and LeBron James who were responsible for the majority of the free throws, are also amongst the top players in the league. Now cutting to the chase , part of the reason these two are so good is because they can draw the foul. They are so good that they can make it look like they were hit or bumped while shooting.
I mean that has gone hand and hand for  a while, a really good player who can attack the basket frequently and with success usually shoots a lot of free throws.

Portland lost that game because they were totally checked out in the closing of that game. \ if you want Portland to win by free throws, let batum fly in and drive to the hoop. tell aldridge to plow through the double team.

just watching these playoffs alone should show you how different each team is from the next in this league. the game has evolved before, and it is still to this day with the ability to draw a foul, to power through the opposition and make the shot, to be bold.

i mean even in baseball there are some decent actors. Last season i think it was in the playoffs, Derek Jeter  a guy who some people dont like all that much, a player for the yankee's, the most hated sports franchise in history, none the less one of the elite players in baseball today, honestly if not the best, pulled a fast one on the whole league last year.
Fast high inside pitch comes at jeter and hits his elbow and bounces away. Jeter got his base but after review the ball did not hit jeter at all, it bounced off the bottom knob of the bat, But jeter didnt contest or say anything just took his base.

These guys dont play professional sports because they are kind hearted, golden individuals with the cleanest and most honest consciences ....hahahah its because they are better than the guy next to em.

First off Damian- Jack will make a lot more than 4 million next year. At minimum he will get a couple MLE offers starting at 5.15 million. Tony Allen will also get many MLE offers so to sign either will take at least 6 million probably closer to 8...

Unholy your failing to account for a few things. One Tony Allen has significantly outplayed his 3.3 million a year contract. He will get several MLE offers which starts at 5.15 million. So if you want him it will take at least that much probably m...

Rookies are fine a team should be able to carry 5 of them easily. The problem with us last year was we had no depth in front of the rookies. Lillard and Leonard as lottery picks should have gotten lots of playing time, which they did. However, Bar...

Rip the Larry Sanders trade would happen on draft day so people would already know we fixed out biggest weakness. Then once free agency begins its up to LA, Lillard, Stotts, Olshey and Paul Allen to lure people here. It becomes a lot easier to con...

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.
