Can someone tell me about the Blazers dress code, specifically the players not wearing head bands?  The reason I ask is that Gerald Wallace used to have a mouth piece when he played in Charlotte.  He didn't really use - it kind of just flopped around half in his mouth while he chewed on it all game long.  When he was traded to Portland I noticed he lost the head band and the mouth piece, but I heard Mike and Mike during a game day telecast say that Coach McMillan is allowing Gerald to wear the head band - seems odd to me that he's allowed Gerald to wear it but not the other players.  Did Gerald lose the mouth piece in exchange for the head band?
I am a fan of Gerald Wallace and his unsurpassed effort.

I know it's not a serious topic but I'm just curious to know if there's a dress code for the team...so the question is real.

When Wallace joined the Blazers I noticed that he had his mouth piece but not his head band - now he wears a head band but the mouth piece is gone.  When I heard on a game day telecast that head bands were not allowed I wondered if Crash had negotiated to wear his head band if he got rid of the mouth piece.

    Just curious...

Dante used a mouth piece. That isn't a fashion thing its a protect your teeth thing. Wallace feels more comfortable with his headband. It is what it is. That doesn't mean others can't use a head band. But why add a headband if you never use them?

the blazer coach discriminates over clothing its really that simple.

its clear that nate is the perfect coach for portland, because like most of its fan base, he too believes in superstions and game day rituals, however he is unable to realize that following and abiding by these rules has yet to win him a ring.

Speculators say- "hey nate maybe if your guys were allowed to wear headbands they wouldnt have all that sweat on their face causin em to miss shots."

or it could be none of those and be a more simple reasoning.....

i wear a headband or a hat when i play because i have a head of hair and i tend to sweat over just thinking about playing basketball, so in other words i look like odom when i play, they help keep that wierd tingle feeling like an itch you recognize but are refusing to scratch, its annoying, imo, maybe GW doesnt like to have a gang of sweat on his face, like rondo.ha

Dont think they trade him for JJ tho, they can just sign Hickson.

I watched Shabazz at the combine and he was a poor shooter.  In fact he did  so bad he did not even show up for drills in day two.  He may be a scorer not a shooter.  If he throws up enough shots he scores.  If someone looks a...

I would agree LMA is a decent defender but his help defense and team defense needs a lot of work. It is in these areas that Bosh really separates himself from LMA and it is because of that he is a better player than LMA despite not putting the sam...

I was looking at some shooting stats and came across a very very alarming stat. LMA was the league leader in FGA from 16-23 feet. Not only was he the leader he was lead by a mile. His 7.3 attempts from this distance easily outpaced Demar Derozan w...

Sug I would start with him outscoring Wesley Matthews. He also needs to get his FTA up and his FG% up and cut down the turnovers.

His defense was decent last year but not that good as he is either too weak or just unwil...
