No bias intended but I really believe Gerald Wallace was one of the best..if not THE best! Carmelo, the most popular pickup of the deadline, has been overshadowed by his former team, the Nuggets, while Deron Williams hasn't been talked about much at all. What do you think? Who was the best pickup of the 2011 trade deadline?

Carmello was an idiot if he really wanted a ring.If he kept his mouth shut and finished off the season with Denver he would have stepped into a team as the missing piece without the Knicks giving anything up. As it stands I think the Nuggets made out better than the Knicks. As far as Gerald Wallace and our deal went, we needed to keep either Dante or Joel. In the short run he may have hurt us more than he helped us, only time will tell on that, in the long run we will see if Cho had something up his sleeve or was just trading to trade.

I think it was a great trade, however,  Perk may be a better pickup for OKC than G-Dub was for us

Wallace is up there, he and Batum are wing players who can basically do all the little things that are needed to win games, you can never have enough of those, especially if they are ones that can occasionally go for 30+ points on a given night...

Whether or not Denver is doing well, Carmelo is a better play than all the guys Denver picked up. It is different for a role play to go into a new system than it for a superstar. Gallinari, Felton, Mosgrov, and Chandler are all role players. Carmelo and Stoudemire going to need some time before they can develop a working system. Look at how long it took Miami. Beginning of the season it was feeding frenzy on those guys.
The only real loss we took, was in some team character. Not that Wallace has bad character, but Dante and Joel had something with the team. Again something a little time should heal. Overall Gerald is all star and is much better than either of those guys. Huge bonus for us where as OKC actually lost someone of value in Green.

    well define, "best"...
i feel like, if Wallace wasnt here, i think the team would still be in the same position if not maybe 1 more L, instead of W.
Wallace may have been the Biggest Steal Trade around the deadline, but he hasnt had as big of an impact as i feel some of the other players who were traded may of had.
but without a doubt, biggest steal and perhaps, just maybe, the best "down the road" trade around the deadline.
He might help this team out big time in later seasons.

You know what is good about the draft you can usually move up and down if your willing. We could have gotten Drummond and everyone here knows it. We also could have taken Harkless, or Henson at 11 or moved back a few spots. We also could have draf...
