Will Aldridge have another career-night against the Spurs?
Yes-He did it once and this time Duncan's not around to defend him (17)
     59%
No-S.A. will make others beat them before they let LaMarcus (12)
     41%

Enjoy that win Trail Blazers fans! After dismantling the Wizards at home Tuesday night, Portland now enters the gauntlet, better known as the 11-game stretch run to finish out the 2011 season. of those 11 games, 10 are opponents above .500 and the lone sub.500 team is against the Warriors, in the Bay. Not an easy task at all. But this does provide Portland an opportunity to fine tune themselves for the playoffs. Also, the Trail Blazers have won 5 straight at home against the Spurs and Tim Duncan will be out for the matchup. And, oh yeah, some guy named LaMarcus Aldridge poured in 40 the last time these two teams tangoed.

For Portland to continue their dominance at home over the Spurs, they must force turnovers and get out on the break. Tim Duncan or not, this team plays solid, fundamental team defense. San Antonio will most likely key in on LA since he had the big night last meeting, so that means our shooters need to be ready and our slashers must make the timely cuts to make S.A. pay for focusing on LaMarcus. Also, with TD out, Portland must take control of the paint. DeJaun is a bruiser but he's undersized. Matt Bonner has the size but plays around the perimeter. This is a very important game heading into the biggest road trip of the year.

I think we play G.S. twice... meaning of the 11 games 2 are against sub- .500 teams. Anyways, if we can win this game it would give us some great momentum going forward into the ending part of the regular season

I don't think LA will have a career night, but a good night.  Asking for 44 because he had 40 the last time these two teams played is a bit excessive and unrealistic.  Especially since lately Mathews, Batum, and Wallace have been playing great and taking more shots than usual.  I expect a W, especially with Duncan out.  I expect great defense all around and great ball movement.  Also, they need to approach this game as if it was the first of the road trip.  Winning this game can be a deciding factor in how we'll do on the trip.

    hahaha, "dismantled" thats good.

I would like to point out how alot of fans would like to play Dallas / San Antonio / Los Angeles in the first round

i would like to point out, this team has lost its last 2 to dallas, and lost its last 2 to the lakers as well. An they just gave up in the last laker loss. The win on SA blew everyones minds when it went down, but if the team wins this game, it could show that the blazers just might have SA card this season, however with a loss in this game, it should show that these teams are NOT the teams the blazers want to play in the first round....that is....if they want to advance.

Power to you guys if you can take the W, fight hard, but SA has only lost what 13 games?  man, intense.

This team lost it's last two to Dallas?  The Blazers?  I'm pretty sure they just beat Dallas.  Also consider that all three games against the Mavs have been decided by like six points or less.  Portland and Dallas are a strong match up.  Honestly Portland matches up well with SA, Dallas and LA.  I'm not sure which team I'd prefer they go up against.  All I know is that nobody wants to play Portland or Denver in the first round.  And rightfully so.

Well I was reading a post on NBA.com... and there was one of the sports writers saying, when asked "What team with home court do you think will end up with a first round exit?" Said... Whoever the Blazers play.

There are alot of people that expect good things to come from this team. Not just our fans.

I really hope they are right. I want to see them take the west... there is alot of work ahead if they want to pull that off tho. :)
I am a fan of standing by the team in my home town, Portland.

Great win, great finish, no doubt! But with that said, our defense needs to step up. Once again we gave up like 70% shooting in the first quarter and even without a true, low-post threat, the Spurs were scoring in the paint at will, nearly 50. But, we never gave up when things looked bleak and we scrapped our way to another W. Great coaching by Nate on that last play. Andre and Batum saved us big time tonight!

We allowed 73% shooting for the quarter.  Good thing we forced turnovers.

I was at Buffalo Wild Wings last night for the game. When Batum hit that winning shot, the whole place exploded! That was a great, on your seat, kinda game. I hoping to see some more of that from here on out. GO BLAZERS! GO TEAM!

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.
