Should Portland rest Camby against an inferior opponent?
Yes- Get him 100% for the Spurs (48)
     96%
No- We can't overlook anyone. Play him sparingly until the game is in hand (2)

    *INJURY UPDATE*
X-rays on Portland C Marcus Camby (right ankle sprain) were negative.  He is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game vs. Washington.

Preview: Trail Blazers Regroup For Matchup With Wizards
In last year's two-game series, Aldridge led the Trail Blazers with 20.5 points per game, while Miller put up 18. Portland, however, averaged a season-low 84 points per game against Washington, shooting less than 39 percent from the floor and 17.2 percent from beyond the arc. The Wizards, on the other hand, hit nearly 45 percent of their attempts.

The Trail Blazers must be careful to not overlook the cellar-dwelling Wizards, because Washington is the last sub-.500 team to visit the Rose Garden all season. Portland has one of the more brutal schedule finishes in all of basketball, so they need to come out focused, much like they did against the Cavaliers last Thursday night when they jumped out to an early 22-2 lead. I know many of us have tried to get that December road trip out of our memory banks, but Portland did drop a 83-79 contest in D.C. on the 3rd, to make it their 6th loss in a row. But, times have changed and now the Blazers are battling it out for the 5th spot out West.

The keys to the game are simple: Play with energy, limit 2nd chance points, dominate the paint. Washington has nothing to play for, so if Portland strikes quickly, it could deflate the Wiz's confidence. Also, Washington is 1-31 on the road. That's right, ONE win all year on the road. You know the boys will know that stat before they take the court and will not want to surrender win #2 to the Wizards! Finally, LaMarcus Aldridge needs to bully them inside. Washington has good length (JaVale McGee, Andray Blatche), but they are thin and LA can use his summer muscle to own the paint.

I'll be attending the game.  I'm excited!  I hope we get a win.  Rest Camby though.

Play him only if he feels like and wants to play. Playing may help it stay loose if it's a mild sprain.

Collins is no longer on the roster.  Chris Johnson is the only other big now behind Camby and LA.  Portland's good fortunes continue, however, with future opponents and their centers.  Tim Duncan went down with an ankle injury Monday night  and is expected to miss about 2 weeks.

    From Jay Allen's Twitter-
Marcus Camby won't play tonight vs Wash. Nate says Chris Johnson will get some time against the Wizards.
Good call. I would hope we wouldn't need Marcus in order to defeat the Wizards!

I feel it will be nice to see a player like Javale Mcgee who I believe we should trade for before the draft. with a team like Washington I think we could get him and a 1st round draft pick for Brandon Roy depending on how he does in the playoffs. We solidify the center position and lower our salary cap # and get a nice draft pick. Why would they do this? Because Brandon Roy and John Wall would be a back court you can build around even if it takes a couple years and B. Roy is a proven commodity, But Portland needs to get out from under his huge contract with an equally huge downside.

I say rest Camby.  As long as Portland ties their shoes before the game it should be a W.

Batum needs to fix his offensive game! The dude does a lot of things out there but all he does is shoot 3s on the offensive side. I just want someone that can their own shot on this team. Hate seeing Wes and Batum just sit out there by the three...

A bit of both sure. But mainly luck. And I don''t think we should go their way. They still ended up with the worst record.
