Who would you rather play in the first round, OKC or Mav's?

Portland has proven many times that they can beat Dallas although they lost two by a combined 8 points.
OKC has beat the Blazers both times by a combined 3 points.

The numbers say OKC but the wins don't so, for me Dallas is the easy choice. Portland has always played well against them, and they know what they need to do to win. It wouldn't be hard to beat them but it also wouldn't be so easy that they let them back in the game like they have been doing lately. I think Portland could take them out in 7 and use it as a confidence booster for the next round.

You could make cases for either one.
I think we play better as a team against the Mavericks and it's the team LA always shows up against.  Plus they always seem to falter in the playoffs (lost to 7 seeded SA as a 2 seed last year), but OKC is young and might not have the experience to win a first round playoff series (like POR last year).  I say anything bust the lakers or spurs and we have a good chance to win

Have to go with Dallas here.  Would much rather face Dirk than KD, and OKC has added Kendrick Perkins and become a much more physical team, while Portland has lost both JP (season ending knee injury) and PrideBilla (in the Wallace trade).

Heh, you're being generous TJ31 for only mentioning last series.  They lost being up 2-0 in the finals to the Heat.  Lost to the Warriors who were 8th seed.  Lost to the Nuggets in 5 games in 2009, and 2010... lost to the Spurs.

I don't care which we go against.  I'd prefer OKC since that means we get SAS instead of LAL in the 2nd round, but I'm confident we can beat both of them.

I think it would be fun to see Portland go up with the Lakers in the second round but if they could avoid that I would be more than happy. And yes LA is a monster when he plays Dallas and I don't think it is on purpose. It's like he subconsciously plays his heart out against his hometown team

If Portland goes against Dallas, i have to say they will  not win due to their lack of height.
We all know how Dirk can turn it on in the playoffs, Terry is a big threat too if he gets hot.
But its Tyson Chandler who i am worried about if he is in a C i think he can stop Camby and Evade Aldridge's defense.

If they play OKC, Perkins will make Aldridge look amazing. Aldridge is two times as fast as Perkins and if Camby is out and Aldridge in, thats were the advantage will come to this team.

However, OKC has a fast team, an offense that can really rack up points in a hurry.
Dallas is either on or their off, the Blazers are going to advance in the playoffs by how hard and well they play DEFENSE.!

Here''s my best Mock Draft scenario for the Blazers:

Trade every pick we can to get a starting defensive Center.

I don''t trust big men with a history of injury. Ibaka also weighs more than Noel, but you''re right, early days yet, he could bulk up. I am sure, that he will lose some of his speed and athleticism when he does though. Wasn''t that one of his bes...

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
