Which bench player will be the spark for Portland against Atlanta?
    Patty Mills (3)
     10%
    Rudy Fernandez (3)
     10%
    Brandon Roy (4)
     13%
    Gerald Wallace (20)
     67%

Coming off of a frustrating loss to the Bobcats, Portland must now find a way to recapture that momentum they earned by beating Orlando and Miami earlier on this trip. The loss to Charlotte now puts the Blazers' backs against the wall. After the way they started out this road trip, anything less than a 3-1 road trip will be looked at as a disappointment. If Portland beats Charlotte, they play with house money in ATL, but now, the pressure swings into their corner. The Hawks, fresh off of their impressive 90-83 victory in Portland back on February 27th and winners of 4 straight over Portland, look to make life difficult for the visiting Trail Blazers.

For Portland to win, the offense simply needs to flow. Against Charlotte, Portland settled for the outside shot, which is not their game. When the Blazers had things in control, they were forcing it down low or running wing players off of curls for easy buckets in the paint. Atlanta likes their one-on-one matchup with Josh Smith defending Aldridge, so Portland must find ways to get LA going so the doubles will come shortly after, opening up the floor for the rest of the team to operate. Both teams only allow 95 points, so if whomever can break the century barrier first has a great shot at walking away victorious. Also, Crawford was the spark for ATL last meeting, Portland saw what another streak, jump shooter could do tonight as Stephen Jackson single-handily brought them back. Get up in Crawford's face and never let him get into a rhythm. Finally, defensive rebound!

the hawks have won 2 out of their last 7 games( 7th being the bulls about to smash on them right now) and one of those two wins was the against the Blazers, the last time the two teams met.
now with the blazer freight train losing some steam in their last game should look to come out and ball against ATL.
i will be thoroughly upset if they let the hawks win, if you are going to lose a game, it better be by a basket.

Has anyone seen L-AWOL?  Since Brandon's return, Aldridge seems to have drifted back into the shadows again.  Forget about numbers and statistics.  Watch the body language and count on one FINGER how many times in a contest he puts the ball on the floor and attempts to get into the lane.  THIS is a far bigger concern than is an inexcusable loss to the Bobcats or a rematch with the Hawks.  If LA doesn't return to February form, a playoff berth may not be in the cards and we will again be fans of a jumpshooting team lacking jumpshooters.

In short, the key to beating the Hawks lies with the play of #12.  Everything else will take care of itself.  Outside-in play won't even beat a Charlotte team, so good luck with the remainder of this schedule.

    aldridge's game log this season..

If you look at the stats it says, that Aldridge isnt taking as many shots, and since he is roughly a bit under a %50 shooter, taking less shots the less points he will get. HE NEEDS TO MAKE BASKETS!

The point average has been somewhat the same, but like i stated the less points per game maybe by 4-8 less points per game. But with the addition of Wallace causes him to not grab as many boards, plus you have camby back in the mix/
i dont think it has anything to do with Roy.
Aldridge should dish the ball out more instead of shooing it, unless he can take the defender to the rack, Portland needs to make shots not brick em

The key is can portland get over the loss to charlotte and play blazers basketball, LA was not aggressive enough so I expect him to have a bounce back game, don't make careless plays and turnover the ball and will we have enough emotional energy since there was alot last night.

I'm pretty sure that the Blazers played so bad last night is because they (like nearly everyone) were looking for this game.  So, I expect a good one and a win.

Maybe we've decided we'd like a high first rounder rather than a post-season appearance and first round dismissal?  Honestly, that's what it looks like.  Just call 'em like I see 'em.  No PASSION.  No PRIDE.  No W's.

Who the hell is Jeff Teague?  Get real Blazers.  I don't mind losses if the other team is better, but how many times this season are you going to drop games that you SHOULD WIN.  Freaking ridiculous.  One of the worst Blazer performances I've ever seen in my entire life, and I've been a fan for 21 years.

Calm down Herr, we're used to seeing Nate run 3 guard lineups, and the Blazers launching jumpers all night. A bad performance on the heels of a tough road trip does not erase some of the ZeBo, Telfair, Derek Anderson no show games, where we'd be down by 40 at halftime.

    I''d trade for Asik.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.
