Bitter sweet news for Portland.  First, my heart and prayers out to CP3 and the Hornets, I hope it's nothing serious and I hope he recovers swiftly.

But, this is a business, and if CP3 is done for the season, this could be nothing but help for the Blazers.

There is no official report yet, but supposedly on NBA TV during the Hawks vs Knicks game, it showed CP3's injury.  I'm being told by fellow bloggers on NBA.com that it looks similar to the Marquis Daniels injury which has him sidelined for the season.  He could not get up and had to be strapped head to toe to the stretcher.

Hornets' Paul injured, taken off on stretcher

    Posted Mar 6 2011 8:32PM

CLEVELAND (AP) -- New Orleans point guard Chris Paul was taken from the floor on a stretcher after suffering an apparent head injury during the third quarter Sunday night in the Hornets' game against Cleveland.

Paul lost the ball driving into the lane and hit his forehead on the right shoulder of Cleveland guard Ramon Sessions. Paul stayed on the floor as trainers from both teams attended to him.

Paul, who was moving his legs and feet, was placed on a flat board and a brace was put on his neck. He was wheeled to the locker room and gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he left the court.

The Cavaliers said Paul was responsive and on his way to the hospital.

Paul had 13 points and 11 assists in 26 minutes. Cleveland was leading 61-60 with 4:36 remaining in the third quarter.

Im not going to say that it wasn't a bad injury because you cant joke around with those head and neck injuries. But it looked like he wont be severely injured. He should be back fairly quickly.

Heard he's okay.  Might miss a few games.  Portland has got to win on this road trip though.  Memphis pulled off an upset tonight, and New Orleans won as well.  Wow,  what a game winner by Zach Randolph!

That's good.  Despite the refs giving OKC 47 FTs and the Suns only 14.

Just saw the injury.  He should be fine.  Probably just a minor concussion.

The road trip gods are smiling so far.  No Howard for Orlando and Miama players are crying after their latest loss (4th in a row.)  Let's hope the Blazer bomb squad is hitting threes on Aldridge dishes the next couple nights.  Oh and C3PO will be fine.

Paul's career is over. He shattered his spinal cord and will never be able to walk again. Just kidding. I heard it was just a small concussion. I'm sure he'll be back in 1 ~ 3 games.

Latest news is that Paul is still out.  He attended shoot around today and suited up but wasn't cleared by doctors so only watched.  He will obviously be missing the game against Dallas.

Not two months. It wasn''t a major injury, X rays came back positive. I know he played because we had no one who could replace him, and that was admirable, but it simply does not take that long. When he had a good game, he said my wrist felt good....

Yeah, he was tripping with that Scottie Pippen reference. Nowhere as good as him, BUUUTTT, I think he can be, if he plays like a man. In Euroleague, you are taught more about finesse, and the fundamentals. He needs to put a little more muscle on, ...

I think what Stotts is doing is superb. His plays are great. I remember the only play he ever called for Meyers Leonard, against the Bobcats. Great movement, got LMA a good mid range look, got Batum a decent three look and the got Meyers way down ...
