I've lived in Oregon for 9 years now, been a Blazer fan for a little over that long. And I've realized, it's about time I know their full background. I know bits and pieces but I wanna know the full history...

Does anyone know of a link for highlights of each season? A movie/dvd? A good book on the history of the Blazers? etc?

Alright, hilarious. As soon as I wrote this... I added the facebook fan shop app, and there it was. The ad for the history of the Trail Blazers by Wayne Thompson, "BlazerMania".

Haha, oh well... I'll still take recommendations.

There is a DVD called "Mania" that is pretty good. It goes over their entire history up til 08. The only thing I don't like about that is that it doesn't talk too much about their 1999-2000 era where they went to back to back WCF's. It pretty much lumps it in with the JailBlazer days, which wasn't really the case. Brian Grant, Steve Smith, Pippen, Sheed, etc. It's around for sale online and some places around Portland.

Also, there is a VHS out there called Running Down a Dream that is from the 1990-91 season, which was very bittersweet. It's pretty much impossible to find, but it's on youtube. It's really fun to watch. I was a baby that season, but growing up I watched that tape all the time. It's what got me into basketball.

There is a documentary called Fastbreak also about the Championship team. It's kind of ...unique.

There are 3 video yearbooks: 89-90, 90-91, 91-92 that are amazing

Here's the amazon link to those: Blazer Videos

There were also two, detailed books about the 90-91 season and the 91-92 season.

The 91 book was called a Long, Hot Winter and it was written by then-coach Rick Adleman as he takes the reader behind the scenes of that record-setting season.

    Powell's Link: Long, Hot Winter

The 92 book is longer as it was written by two Blazer beatwriters. It gave an inside look at how everything shook out back then. Did you know we were this close to landing Charles Barkley during that season?

    Powell's Link: Against The World

I own Blazermania and suggest picking that one up as well. It has some never before seen photos and takes you from day 1 up until the beginning of last season. It's definitely a well-put together book. And the Fan Shop's price of 35$ is cheaper than any other place I've seen it listed.

@Meese, it is quite ironic. They also just so happen to have the planets best player in Lebron James who leads them in rebounding with just over 8 a game.

But that''s what separates them from the rest. Look at the Heat ...

Yes, let''s become completely sh*t, because the 2023 draft class in the best since 2003. This kid LeKobe Gasoldridge is the best ever. He is 8"9 with a 35" wingspan. He grew up in 5 century greece with the spartans so we know he''s tough. I heard ...

Can Portland give Dallas cash considerations for the 13th pick? If so, make the deal and package the 10th and 13th for the 4th or 5th pick and get Oladipo or McLemore or gamble and wait for C.J. McCollum at 10 and grab Hardway at 13. Either way i ...

@ RipCity14, u nailed it w/ OJ )  I wouldn''t say "Batum is definitely overrated by Blazer fans (maybe by some but I DO think quite highly of him) " I WOULD say that MOST Blazer fans (we) love him MUCH > other fans/pundits )  Hahaha...

But I feel like worse teams than us would offer that so you never know he might want to come back where it all started... then again he could hate us with a passion and want to go absolutely anywhere else
