Dwight Howard To Miss March 7th Game Against Blazers?

    Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard faces a one game suspension after picking up his 16th technical foul of the season.

    Howard, who leads the NBA in technicals this season, was whistled for another with 1:41 left in the first half Friday night against Chicago.  If the call is upheld following a review by the league, Howard would be suspended for Orlando's next game against Portland Monday night. 
    If there is one thing most, if not all Blazer fans agree on, it's that this team is due some good luck.  Particularly with regard to the center position.  While Portland adding Collins last week to help fortify their anemic front court was certainly a positive, having he and Camby as the only true centers on the roster will necessitate LA logging minutes in the middle.  During this critical stretch run for playoff positioning, a break is a break, and we'll gladly take every last one of them.  If the suspension is not rescinded by the league, Nate may be able to run LA at the 4 for the full 48, or at least close to.  Advantage Portland.

    Leading the league in technicals is most often indicative of a growing level of frustration.  It's no wonder the talk of Howard seeking greener pastures as a FA has heated up.

    If Howard is out, then there is no excuse to drop that game to Orlando. They dealt Gortat and have no center outside of Dwight. LA should put up 30 shots with the likes of Bass and Hedo defending him.

    16th technical, and he's suspended. Heck, Sheed used to get that many on a road trip, and the league never really said much. I guess 'cause Sheed's antics didn't include trying to split the lip of an opponent.

    yeah this is huge.
    aldridge can get down and dirty in this one...
    i agree there is no excuse to not being able to win this one.

    but watch out for Jay Rich. He loves spankin three's against Portland

    Anderson, Hedo and Bass will probably have to try to defend LA. 
    Good news for Portland. 

    That means Magics line up will all shoot 3's. Except for Bass

    Defend the three.  Isn't that the game plan against the Magic?  Just do what they did last time.  But, without Dwight Howard dropping 30, if we play a similar good game than we should be able to blow them out.

    the magic have some dope shooters, and really i would say Richardson is the deadliest...

    But if Hedo and Bass are on Aldridge, well then thats an easy time for LaMarcus.

    They has a specialist come in 2008 and say flat out that Oden and Roy were going to have knee issues. If you know the knees are going to be a potential issue then as a training staff you need to work on strengthening that area, healing it and help...

    Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.
