If the blazers are the sixth seed they would face the lakers which would be the toughest team to beet in a seven game series. Remember last year when there was discussion about giving away games late in the season on purpose so you could play a more favorable team? Do you agree with that? And who would you like to see the blazers matched up against?

I dont understand this. The ultimate goal is to win it all. That means we have to beat everyone, including the best teams. So I would think we would want to face them, any time we can. Worst case scenario is we lose, but pick up one hell of a learning experience that everyone in the organization would learn from. Best case scenario is we win and become super confident and then plow through teams and win it all!!

We don't know for sure that LAL will stay in 3rd, and with NOH unpredictable and virtually tied with them we don't know for sure where we will be regardless of playing as hard as we can. There is no reason to give games away. I know the Lakers are good enough that they coasted the first part of the season, and is finishing strong. and could move up with Tony Parker out and Dallas losing players to injury.

All in All, I don't buy in to throwing games for any reason. In fact if the Blazers did that and it was well known, I would probably quit being a Blazer fan. That is despicable.

...what Fallen said for sure.  Historically LA and the Blazers have had quite a rivalry but if you look at their record against each other over time, the regular season is just about .500.  That means  on any given night either team can win.  Hell, last time we faced the Lakers the Blazers beat themselves!!  And the Blazers have also historically done VERY well against LA when playing in the Rose Garden.  We've won what... 9 of the last 11 or 12 meetings?

Yes LA is what I wont to play. If Clev. can beet them, We can. And OKC. all most always make there shoots. They are a good shooting team thats all. So they should stop making shoots at some point in the game. And LA is just not all that any more. That would be easier than OKC.

why would we blow games and end up facing San Antonio or Dallas first.  If we face LA first we would have a way better chance, and if we beat them can you imagine the publicity we will get.  I hope they beat a top team so Charles Barkley would just shut up

I live in LA,I'm tired of the Blazers losing to Lakers in playoffs,it makes me Ill. They need to face san antonio or dallas, they could easily take those Jabroni's. But playing the lakers? Please lets hope not.

yea i can feel you on that. Los angeles native here and what i want more than the blazers to face another team than the lakers, would be to just beat the lakers!!!

San antonio and dallas are the number 1 and 2 teams in the west, they might not be the best alternatives, but then again everyone has the ability to give this team trouble..
The nuggets with their new roster, The Suns have the ability to take the blazers out in playoffs, but now that they lost some of their key players, it could be a different story.

I vote we go against OKC.  It's one team we have more experience over, and they lost a huge offensive threat.  We also have Gerald Wallace who can shut down Durant while Batum or Mathews takes on Westbrook.  They'd be the easiest.  That, or go after SAS, although we aren't winning that one.

I like our chances against the Lakers... as long as we catch them sleeping.

sign Iggy for 8-9M, Batum at the two, and Wesley off the bench! Draft Steven Adams (who loves contact, grew up playing rug-bee). Sounds NICE!

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
