"This was a repeat of last game. I don't know where our swagger or spirit is. We look like we're not having fun. There's no connection out on that floor. I don't recognize that team, what we did tonight and in our last game."
-- Portland coach Nate McMillan, after back-to-back losses to Atlanta and Houston

Question is new players ( back from injury players & wallace) disrupt the chemistry of the team that was rolling? I know we need to bring our players back, but are we doing it smartly. The chemistry has to get fixed fast, since there are like 4 teams right behind us and losing games at home in blowouts causes some worry.

It's going to be hard to adjust period. It's a lot different when role player comes back from injury, because the impact on the game they have isn't on the same level as someone who (prior to injury) played a significant role on how you play. We should be fine after a couple more games and practices on the road. Hopefully the guys will gain some cohesiveness back and storm through toward the playoffs.

sure the chemistry has been disrupted. the denver win and the win over sac werent great performances overall either. it was to be expected. the net result of the trade and the two players coming back from injury meant two players gone (joel and dante) and 4 players new (wallace, camby, roy, and collins). on paper this is a better team then it was. it will take a while to see it on the court i guess, but its still all good. we werent going to do much in the playoffs this year anyway, and whos to say we wouldnt be having chemistry problems even if we hadnt made the trade and picked up collins with roy and camby coming back. should be good to go by playoffs and next year this team will be moving forward over this year again. gotta keep on moving forward if you ask me. get a little better every year until you get to the prize.

    Here's the question.

Get to the playoffs healthy with everyone knowing what's going on

or... have a SMALL chance of missing the playoffs trying to get everyone on the same page in the regular season.

I'm willing to bet my house that the Blazers will make the playoffs.  So I'd rather have the chemistry disrupted NOW than in the playoffs when we have the goal of the 2nd round.

I liked what I saw last night. Blazers shut the door on those pesky Kings.

Not two months. It wasn''t a major injury, X rays came back positive. I know he played because we had no one who could replace him, and that was admirable, but it simply does not take that long. When he had a good game, he said my wrist felt good....

Yeah I was one of them *blushes*. I was never a diehard fan of basketball until the 2011-2012 postseason. I could name every team, but I always forgot two. Kings and Blazers.

Yeah, he was tripping with that Scottie Pippen reference. Nowhere as good as him, BUUUTTT, I think he can be, if he plays like a man. In Euroleague, you are taught more about finesse, and the fundamentals. He needs to put a little more muscle on, ...

I think what Stotts is doing is superb. His plays are great. I remember the only play he ever called for Meyers Leonard, against the Bobcats. Great movement, got LMA a good mid range look, got Batum a decent three look and the got Meyers way down ...
