    Week 18; February 28th

Well, the latest Power Rankings are out, and the Blazers have moved up a notch, from the 10 spot to #9...thanks in large part to the acquisition of Gerald Wallace.  Portland is right behind OKC (8th) and the Lake Show (7th) this week.  With all of the fanfare and all of the expectations, Miami not any better than 5th.  Also noteable was New York, post MeloDrama, coming in at 17th...even with Big Shot Billups.  Memphis a bit of a surprise at 10.

What a memorable season here in Portland.  Interesting to this observer that in week 18, Portland finds themselves in the top 10 and only two spots behind the Lakers...all this while playing much of the season without Brandon Roy.  Begs the question.  Where would the Lakers be without Kobe?  Lock up Nate...period.

Oh wait, we kinda came back against the Hawks, but some fans missed that as I saw folks bailing out when the score hit 60 to 80

To go another season with so many rookies is not a good idea. We need a couple of vets and atleast one young bench scorer. If we want a Center, go after Hawes from Philly and Dorrell wright can be signed as a free agent. We can trade our 2nd round...

    BUT

Remember when Jammal Crawford said that Brandon Roy was full healthy again??

    also, imagine

    Damian, Roy, Batum, Lamarcus, Oden

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.

Sug81 I love Iggy but this team has numerous gaping holes throughout the depth chart so signing Iggy is not the best way to spend our limited funds

That roster looks pretty good, but if we would have enough cash Corey or Ronnie brewer would be nice
