    Found this article naming F/C Earl Barron(Pho), Leon Powe(Cle), and Jeff Pendegraph(Por) as being in Portland's sites.

    Joe Freeman of the Oregonian reported last night that Jarron Collins may be the favorite.

    Collins doesn't look like a bad option.  I have always been a big fan of Pendegraph.  I love his energy on and off the court and really miss seeing his pregame huddle pump-up!  But the Blazers really need a big to help them get INTO the playoffs.  This is a tight race and we lost a lot of depth in the center spot!

    Did you read the article? 

     He reportedly could be healthy and ready in time for the playoffs

    Which means if he can't at least start light practicing soon he will be a real rust-bucket for the playoffs.

    Out of those 3 I think Leon Powe is best.  I always liked Pendergraph though so if he is ready to go before the end of the season we should give him another shot.

    Leon Powe was, by a landslide, my first choice as well...provided he has fully recovered from having an ACL done.  A banger and enforcer that finishes well around the bucket, and young...offering more of a long-term solution for Portland.  Powe also would have offered Portland a nice counter to OKC's Perkins should the two teams face each other in the post-season.

    Moot point now, as we now know that Collins has been signed to a 10-day.

    Will the Blazers now turn their attention to a back-up PG?

    he prolli wouldn't come here anyways but portland needs another big body for depth reasons more than anything... someone who can bang down low play a little post d & grab some rebounds...
