I watched yesterday's game and I was disappointed to say the least. I know it's their first game with everybody healthy. Getting Marcus back from injury. Roy getting back as well. And now adding Gerald Wallace to the rotation. It will take some time but I'm worried that we might slip out of the race with all of these new players. It sounds weird but it might have been better to just have a consistent lineup? Are you worried at all? Will the Blazers make some noise in the playoffs?

i dont think you have to worry, we lost a player who had been on this team for +4 years, of course there is going to be a loss of chemistry. The first game with a new guy who was a big deal where he came from, things might be a bit bumpy at first, normal. Theyre not new players, but i undersatand what you are saying and i agree for the most part. Roy should still be limited, play maybe 1 game every 3 or play every other game, Roy is still to "iffy" he isnt playing at 100% and his health is always a concern. Take the same precautions with Camby,

But you know you dont have to create a new topic thread for every post. If there is a game thread called Hawks v Blazers, you know you could maybe post this in that thread. I am not trying to be mean or anything but there are just soo many new threads its like topic thread overload.

Yesterday it just seemed like we couldnt hit shots.  Rudy, Batum and Roy where all ice cold for the entire game and Aldridge wasnt shooting as well as he has been lately either.  We actually did fine with Wallace in the game even though you would think we wouldnt since it was his first game.  According to espn's box score of the game we outscored atlanta by 3 when Wallace was in the game.  Thats the highest of any of the players on the team.  I think we'll be fine, Rudy and Batum being inconsistent worries me more than us having troubles trying to work players into the rotation.

It only takes a week and these guys will fit together. They are professionals and everyone already know their spot. Its not like they are the strong personalities like in Miami. They just need more then 1 shoot around between games to mesh. They got a practice today and a game tomorrow. We will see how it goes in Houston.

Give them a break.  I think that was the first time this squad had stepped on the court together since the shake up.  Correct me if I am wrong but didn't they forgo a practice on Saturday?  They will gel.  Roy is still getting his legs back and working back into the rotation but is doing well.  Camby is rusty as hell and possibly still a little sore.  And Wallace is brand spanking new to the team.  I think it will come together quickly and won't ruin a playoff berth.  the question is can they battle their way into a home court advantage and who will they face?

I think Portland will be in the playoffs 5th seed through 8th seed without home court advantage.  This adjustment period will cause them to take a step back before they can go forward.  But watch out in the playoffs.

@cransford24...you said it.  The inconsistency of both Batum and Fernandez are of a much greater concern with me as well.  We saw Atlanta pack things in even more so, when it became obvious that there was a lid on the bucket for Portland.  That makes things difficult for Aldridge.  This team will come together rather quickly, due in large part to Wallace and his character.

I''m not talking about those kinda calls, but phantom calls. Kobe gets soooo many phantom calls. I like Lebron, but I know because he''s a superstar he gets certain actions overlooked. Kobe just gets random stuff called. Remember when Kobe smacked...

Oh, sorry Damian, you make so many I stopped reading them. I don''t because I don''t know much about salaries and stuff. Stephenson would be great, excellent rebounder, Tough Defender, is playing awesome in  today''s  game.

Siccolo, did you mean heavier or lighter? I don''t think Noel will do well in the league. If he stays healthy long enough, he might be a half decent starter, if not, Greg Oden.

Damian, you are completely right on that, let''s just hope it''s not a negative impact (Shout out, Ray Ray). And since when did people WANT to come to Portland? This is great.

joint option for year three at like 8 million. Then if he works out you got him for a bargain for 2-3 years and if not it costs only 1.2 million for next year.

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
