HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A BLAZERS GAME! DID YOU WATCH LAST NIGHTS GAME WHERE ROY WAS THE ONLY REASON WE WENT TO OT LEADING TO THE W? ROY IS AN ALL STAR, RUDY IS A NOBODY.( UNLESS UR A FAN OF THE BLAZERS THAN HES A GOOD BENCH PLAYER)  IF IT CAME DOWN TO IT THE BLAZERS WOULD GET RID OF RUDY 10/10 TIMES. Both are keepers, important cogs in the performance of this machine.  After only having two games under his belt, it would appear Brandon has ALREADY re-invented himself.

@arnielquimpan...the deadline has now passed and there cannot be any more trades this season.

They are both good assets to the team for different reasons.  My opinion on trades is if one of them doesn't want to be here, then he should go.  If you're heart isn't here, then it's going to show in your game.  Just my two cents...

first off we cant trade either one untill the season is over since the trade deadline just passed, second their is no question that we would keep roy.  Rudy kind of sucks in my opinion, he is definately my least favorite Blazer since all he does is shoot threes even though he is just a slightly above average three point shooter and he plays extremely questionable d.  while Roy isnt exactly the greatest defender in the world he is at least serviceable on that end.  And also Roy actually takes it to the basket when he is having a bad shooting night, unlike fernandes who just keeps on jacking up 3's.  even with two knees that may never be quite the same for the rest of his career I'll still take Roy any day of the week over Rudy.  I understand that Fernandes has been kind of hot lately but im sure that will soon pass and he will be back to his streaky 35% shooting ways.

also just by the way Roy scored the same amount of points yesterday as Rudy despite playing about half the minutes that Fernandes did.  Honestly right now I think we need them both because of our lack of depth, but if their was ever a situation where we would have to trade one of them we should definately keep roy

I know Roy hasn't been back long enough to get a feel if he's truly "back", but after last nights performance by Roy (he's looking and hopefully the knees are feeling well) I would have to say goodbye to Rudy.

 Yeah get rid of Roy he sucks. 25 minutes last night, got 18 points and 5 boards and hit 2 clutch three pointers and created 1 for Rudy in the closing minutes and creating a 3 pointer for Matthews. HE SUCKS! Get the FUDGE  (insert the real word) OUT OF HERE! I don't usually flame but man arnel you are a blind idiot.

Rudy will never be better than Roy no matter how hard the guy tries. Doesn't matter if Roy has gimpy knees he is still WORLDS better than Rudy.

Don't get rid of either of them, especially Roy. Only get rid of Rudy if the right deal comes along. HA get rid of Roy that's just stupid, anyone who thinks that needs to be mentally evaluated.

I don't agree with that sentence though. Rudy and Roy play different styles. I think Rudy plays better as a playmaker and not as a scoring guard. Roy is a clutch scorer. they could be a lethal backcourt tandem with Rudy starting at 1, and Roy at the 2.

Roy is a superior ball-handler and playmaker, Roy can score in numerous amounts of ways. Everything Rudy can do, Roy can do better...besides speaking spanish.

^^agreed.  I would take Roy over Rudy any day, even if Roys knees won't ever be quite the same ever again he is still way better than Rudy.  Roy is a 2 time all star and rookie of the year and Rudy is just a reasonably fast, 38% shooting 6th man.

If Roy continues to play anywhere close to what he did Friday night then we keep Roy.  Rudy has stepped up big time this year though.
With the aquisition of Wallace I would like to see us attempt to go a different direction.
Minnesota has shown interest in Batum.  Would they listen to inquiries of a Batum for Love trade?  Other pieces would need to added of course.

Whoa there! Trading for Love would definitely destroy the team's chemistry. Neither him nor LMA would want to play off the bench.

As for Roy and Rudy, I agree that both of them are keepers. Us fans should not be made to choose who among them have to go. Nate is a good coach, and he made good on how to use the lineup.

please tell me, how does one envision this trade?
Kevin Love has slowly but surely pushed his way into the position of "franchise player" they can now build a team around him.
Batum is still a second rate SF. His best asset of his game is his 3 ball, and his defense. But the only problem is he is not nearly a dead on 3pt shot, he for some reason, has the abilites to move and score like Melo or drive to the lane and fly to the rack like LeBron, yet he doesnt.
Batum has the hops, has the speed, but he is not nearly as aggressive as a solid SF should be

the only thing i admire about Rudy is he has the record and title for most 3pt shots made as a rookie with like 169.
And he has the ability to get up and when you look at him he really doesnt look like it, but he's athletic as F
