if you dont know why people were so attached to joel than you havn't been a blazer fan for long.

but i asked a friend of mine that question, they responded and said.

So after having a few days to cool down I take back what I said about us never coming close to getting to the playoffs. I truly apologize and wish nothing but the best for the Blazers. I hope the Joel does come back in 30 days and wear the jersey he was born to wear. Yes I am a Blazers fan, but yes I do get attached to players that make this team stand out.

brookelyn... really? u call yourself a fan and then u say you hope we never make a playoff? why? because we lost a center who, as great as he was and as much as we love him, was bringing nothing essential to the table? Gerald Wallace is the kind of player who get 10 pts from pure hussle and effort plays. He brings offensive and defensive consistency to our team and allows us to match up with any other top 10 team. Consider Miami, LA (or Camby) could cover bosh, Wallace on James, and Roy on Wade. Dont forget the other high energy hussle players we have on D (Batum, Mathews). For the first time as a trail blazer fan I can actually see us going somewhere this playoffs. We have a depth like none we have ever had before and a team chemistry/stylethat was only missing a Gerald Wallace type player to be a contender. For the first time ever we have a team that can not only compete with anyone but win a championship, and people are complaining?
Hope those draft picks we sent to Charlotte = the next MJ because if not you will have turned on a Portland team that will be GREAT for a long time to come.

There is a down side johl and cutting ham are good ball players cutting ham is geting better hes still young and two 1st round draft picks so its a C+ or B.

I gave it an A even with the two picks, GO BLAZERS...Also I hope we see The Vanilla Gorilla back in action after 30 days...fingers crossed!..B Roy's still a beast...I saw a lot of people hating on him...LOL that 3 to take us into overtime against the Nuggets was Classic B-Roy and i hope to see more of him in the future!

This is probably a good move for next year or maybe the year after...but to give up everyone in the 5 position except for Canby (who wasn't even ready to play at the time) was probably not the smartest move for this year.

Lamarcus is not a center!! And to think we are ok because Wallace can play the 4 is wishful thinking as well. He is a hack 4, not a legitimate 4. It could work for brief stretches and only against certain teams, but that's it. I like Wallace (at SF), but now we only have one legit Center and one legit Power Forward on our team!! I think it will cause greater wear and tear on LA and Camby now for the rest of the year as well. I think this trade is not good for this season, but could work out to be better for next year. These are the reasons I do not like this trade, not because I am overly attached to Joel and Dante!! Though I really did appreciate their hard work day in and day out without ever complaining about playing time or rotation.

The big question i have, is why are so many people attached to Pyrzbilla?
He has never been one of Portlands stand out players, and to call him a role player is a stretch at that.
As a blazer fan, or a fan of any team, you would think that one would want its team to be best it can be, to go out there and play with such fierce players and come out with the W.
Well this team has had a lot of trouble over the past few years, teams have been lookin at us in their rearveiw for a while now and suddenly we are in the top ten in the race......after the halfway point?....with Roy and Camby injured? ....and we just got an All Star Power Forward???? WHOA!!!!

This is great for the team, the chemistry will be the only question i have...only concern, but i think this is going to surprise the rest of the league, Wallace could just be the missing link that NBA anthropologists talk about.

Oh really? is that why he plays like one....? Is that why he carries the team like one?
I mean the fool is the same height as dwight howard, howard gets it done just fine at C.
Aldridge is the tallest player on the team now, and still camby gets the spot at C, usually teams put their tallest player in at C.
But what does it matter, theyre just finna throw him the ball anyway.
Aldridge can play both spots.

Terrific trade but it did come at a cost. Pryzbilla was our enforcer and Dante was an everything man. It sucks that trades mean we have to give something . We just unloaded my favorite player Pryz. I'm so happy we got a good guy in return. Wallace has some fire to go along with his talent. Good, good trade.

A++++++ trade Gerald is a beast, WE lost 1 average player in Cunningham, Joel has very little game, Marks got paid, So they get 2 #20 or so picks wow no big loss for "crash the beast of the northwest".

We always rag on the Lakers for getting Gasol for chump change, but we just pulled off a heist. As much as I like Joel and Dante, they are nowhere near the caliber of player that Crash is and we only gave up 2 1st round picks? 1 that will probably in the 20's this year in a weak draft and a protected pick 2-3 years from now. Wallace isn't as good as Gasol, but we still pulled off a really big coup. Kudos to Cho and the front office staff.
