Who will step up and help LA out on the offensive end?
    Wesley Matthews (10)
     25%
    Brandon Roy (13)
     32%
    Nicolas Batum (4)
     10%
    Dante Cunningham (2)
     5%
    Andre Miller (7)
     18%
    Rudy Fernandez (4)
     10%

The new-look Nuggets stroll into town for the first time without Carmelo Anthony and it will also be the first time the Nuggets will have their new additions from the Knicks. While Denver looked like world-beaters the day after the Melo deal in which they dominated the Grizzlies from start to finish, it could have been just a one-game ordeal where they wanted to prove their worth. I think it will be a little more difficult integrating so many new, key pieces on their team. The dynamic between point guards Raymond Felton and Ty Lawson is key. Which one starts? Does the other sulk and pout? All are things to look out for.

As for the Blazers, they must rebound after an emotional loss last night against their bitter rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers. Not only do the Blazers have 3 more games on this homestand, but they are in a fight for playoff positioning. 3 teams have 25 losses, all vying for the 5th seed. For Portland to win, they need to find Aldridge and continue to find him. Too often we forget about LA down the stretch and it finally caught up to us last night. Find LA, make your free throws, and limit turnovers and Portland should walk away victorious.

I vote Brandon Roy.  Anyone else notice the downfall happened last night when Roy got benched?

The energy Roy brings to the floor is irreplaceable.
I usually don't make excuses for the Blazers losses, but last night was ultimately decided by the ref's.
There we're numerous occasions in which the refs should have made calls that ultimately would have won led the Blazers to win the game.

So, will Gerald Wallace be playing?  He might be a new key addition.  Obviously Joel and Dante are out.

I vote Wesley. I didn't see Roy getting benched being the downfall of the offense. I saw a lack of ball movement while Roy was in though.

If Gerald Wallace plays then I say him if not then i say Batum because Wesley usually gets his 15-20 Pts especially when he is on a roll like he is

Voted for DC, was meant to vote Miller.

The Nuggets played well against Denver tonight. Playing excellent D in the 4Q.
Over took Portland in the rankings.

I hope Roy can score and get back some confidence. I loved his fist pump in the laker game after he hit the three and I want to see More.
Man, I want him to come back so bad and be effective. Hopefully tonight he can play a little more tonight and score 10-15 points.

Rudy getting the start tonight, Batum at the power forward - this could get interesting! I'm predicting a big night from Luke Babitt, 10+ points, 5+ rebounds, and at least 2 trifectas

All starters playing long minutes. 30+ minutes with 6 minutes left.

Not like the Pistons today who played 6 players. Will Bynum getting no rest playing 48minutes.
Big things to happen at the Palace soon. Coach Kuester to get sacked.

    Over Time

A artillery of 3 pointers have tied the scores. Ty Lawson had a chance to win it with .07seconds left.

Miller with 18 points 9 boards and 9 assists.
Aldridge with 20 points 14 boards and 3 blocks.

Here we go again in OT.

    Portland win.
Great game by Miller with 18pts/9boards/9assists and LA with 24points/14boards with 2 clutch FT.
Roy and Ferandez hit vital 3's down the stretch.

That was a perfect win for roy's confidence.

I pray he stay healthy the rest of the year, and maybe can at least play a sixth man role for the rest of the season. And hey, who knows...if he's feeling good come playoff time maybe he can start and play some minutes.

I just love this win so much for the blazers, it's seriously better then the laker win because roy scored 18 points and made clutch plays.

So at work right before I got off I checked the game and with somewhere under 30 sec to go and we were down by 6. I got angry and just left. Then I had to force myself  to make sure that they lost when I got home and I look and Portland was the highlighted team!!! I was really surprised! And seeing the highlights makes me want to stick Brandon Roy's armpit in everyone's face who wanted to trade him!! Maybe he wont be 100% ever again, but even at 90% or 80%  he will always be cold blooded and have that killer instinct! That is what is so rare about him. He hits big shots on a consistent basis. There are only a small handful of players who can do that in this league, and we have one of them. It's not worth the gamble to give up on him so soon!!!
I am a fan of comcast and the blazers making deals that keep screwing us over!! woot!

TomL, if Roy plays like he did tonight consistently (which he will), all the haters need to get more than an Armpit in their face.  We've seen a LOT of vintage Brandon Roy in the 2 games he's played.

Just thought I'd add - Brandon Roy's tying 3 pointer did NOT make it on the NBA top 10 list.  A weak posterizer made number 1.  SMH.  NBA loves Portland eh?

This was a terrific game in many ways. LaMarcus quietly putting together another fabulous game, Rudy bringing high energy and good ball movement.  Of course it was a gift to the fans to see Roy back with credible minutes, and dropping those key three pointers and bringing vintage back.

However, you have to give it up for Andre Miller! Just short of a triple double, and more importantly, showing how much a student of the game he is, veteran skills.    His shot selections down in the paint, he used his size and body well.

I thought it was awesome to see.

The shame is ESPN - front page stating how it was a hard loss for Denver.  What about us!!!! How about a spectacular win for Portland!! Give the small-market, injury-prone, gutsy team some credit here.
