idc what u tell me but we need to make a move because when it all comes down to it the only team we need to worry about is how to get past the lakers!!!! its all gonna come down to the lake show and whatever team can beat them... im sorry but portland needs more fire power something has to give...

where scoring was the issue ONCE brandon roy went out of the game because he was at the limit.

but i would have done the samething. only 15mins of play sorry.

if roy had been able to go until the end. i imagine they couldn't have done what they did it LMA as hard.
i mean did you see how well the pick and roll was working with LMA.
but thinking long term... wise decision to pull roy out of the game.

i dont think this proves we need to trade. i think this proves we need to get brandon heathly.

side note. fire power wasn't really the issue. we still got good shots out of the offence for the end of the game run.
batum just missed wide open 3 pt attempts. people go cold. lakers got lucky everytime he missed.
even kobe goes cold sometimes. you see the 1st quarter?

How does tonight prove we need a trade?

Let's trade Mathews and Batum yes?  they are the ones that decided to camp at the 3 point line and take stupid shots which costed us the game.  Yeah, good luck getting every Blazer fan agreeing that those two should be traded.

umm not at all. just cuz of the loss doesn't mean we need a trade. they just went cold. that's all that happened. we became hot off the break(all star) and that heat cooled off during the break. and LA was playing good d on L-train they kept him off the block when we needed scoring. So we shouldn't trade just to make a trade or frustration over a loss. And I agree with Herr the players that basically caused the loss wouldn't get traded.

I don't subscribe to the theory that this game shows a trade is necessary.  However, an adjustment?  ABSOLUTELY.  Trying to beat the defending champs running the '89/'90 Loyola Marymount offense is fruitless, especially without the likes of the late Hank Gathers and Bo Kimble.  If it wasn't a three in the fourth, it was LA...and there was no LA.

Having the CambyMan in the line-up would have made a significant difference defensively, and likely on the boards as well.

Let us not overlook the positives.  Joel had perhaps his most effective outing since his return to the line-up and Brandon's return was seemless and not disruptive to the flow offensively.  BRoy showed he's both willing and able to make the adjustment necessary to his game to help his team moving forward.

If last night showed anything at all it's the fact that we really need a back-up point guard and to let go of one of our SGs. Rudy is the likely candidate.

The laker game could have ended differently with Cambys rebounds, and made free throws.

However, I do not understand how trading all the back up centers (the most thin position on the roster) for a 3/4 makes the team better? Not sad to see marks go though. Is Pryz going to be bought out and resigned?

Hopefully there is more to it, I will wait until Cho speaks at 4 to vomit. At this point, it looks like throwing $ into the wrong postion, and wait for Oden continues :(

Sheed trading 10 or so minutes at the backup center for a former player like Gerald Wallace is a great trade.  It just means LA will have to play more 5 (which his capable of doing) and Wallace will play some 4.

Ask yourselves how many playoff teams in the west have centers to be concerned about.  5s that demand opposing teams strategize for.  This deal was made with an eye on the second round...a realistic eye.  Keep in mind too, that both Marks and Priz could be picked back up after 30 days if bought out.

Portland and NO are the only two teams that got better in the west.  This will be a fun stretch, as neither will want the 6th spot, facing the Lake show in the first round.  Even OKC took a step back, IMO.

Not DPOY. All American. Player of the year in his conference twice. Past four years, McCollum, Muscala, McCollum, Muscala.

sign Iggy for 8-9M, Batum at the two, and Wesley off the bench! Draft Steven Adams (who loves contact, grew up playing rug-bee). Sounds NICE!

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
