Question about Camby trade

    There was an Oregonian article stating that Camby is threatening retirement if traded and claims he would break his contract, why would another team risk it?

    I just don't get it...

       What makes Camby so valuable that someone would be willing to give up that'd create equal or better value for the Blazers?  We don't want to trade him to a western contender, and he doesn't want to be on a non contender, so the entire West is out.  No one is going to give us anything for a 37 year old, and we're not going to give away our only center for a younger center.  Teams aren't that stupid to give away big man youth for old man youth, and I hope the Blazers aren't stupid enough to give away their only big man for other posistions in which we're nearly stacked at.

    So let's look at the East... which teams would want Camby there that's in contention?  And I'm not talking about weak playoff teams that are first round exits.  Who do the Bulls have that we want to take care of business down low?  Who do the Knicks have?  Who do the Celtics have?  The Magic?  The Heat?  None have what we want.

    I'm 99.999% sure Camby won't be traded.  The .001% is the chance of Cho being an idiot.

    I don't know why anybody would or wouldn't want Camby except me. I want him to stay in the Blazer's organization. He is the center for our team. he is a veteran leader. He is a focused team player. He works great with LMA in the high-low post. he keeps us in the rebound battle. and I like him.
