Please post ALL Andre rumors in this thread

    Via Twitter-
If Nets can't do DEN deal for Melo, Harris and Murphy could go to POR for at least Andre Miller and Joel Pryzbilla, sources are telling me
Where there is smoke, there is fire. We've heard about this rumor since November and it looks like it could get done as soon as Carmelo makes up his mind.

As for the deal itself, it's fair and helps us now and in the future. I hate losing Przy, but he's an expiring deal and I don't see him getting many minutes once Camby comes back and there's the fact that his explosion just hasn't came back yet.

Harris for Dre is a wash, except for the fact Devin is 7 years younger. I know everyone likes Dre, as do I, but Harris was one of the hottest commodities just 2 years ago and I think he can regain his All-Star form under Nate and with a better supporting cast in Portland.

Do you think maybe that Carmello might just take the trade to the deadline and than sign the extension with the nuggets for a year and walk into Knicks training camp in the summer. Just to screw with all the teams that are involved in this big trade fiasco?

man half of lamarcus' great plays  require andre's scoring and passing ability.  And those plays are working well, in fact they are the only seemingly consistent plays we have.  Andre needs to finish the season here please.

awesome! lets get it done. i love what andre did here, but this makes sense on soo many levels. i hope we dont have to throw oden in. it sounded like the blazers had to add more to the deal and oden's salary was the right size. maybe if gs gets involved for murphy that changes, idk. cant wait to find out.

the other really good news is carmello is leaving the nuggets. a 'superstar' has NEVER been dealt in this league where it worked out for the team he left. think about it. i heard that before and couldnt think of an exception. look at toronto and cleveland. the nuggets are going to drop like rocks with the deal they just made.

first of all, Quick is often full of speculation and supposition. i rarely believe what he says.

second, Harris is not a good fit for the blazers, not does he make the players around him better (as Andre does). sure, Andre will be gone at some point, but we can do much better.

third, rumors are just rumors. we all know how tight-lipped Cho is. there can be no validity to any rumors until if and when they may come true. Cho is on record that he won't make a trade just to make a trade, and this pretty much accomplishes just that. as general policy, i will not believe it until i see facts to back it up.

fourth, though Joel and Andre's names come up because of their contract situations, i don't see us trading away any depth we might have at center at the moment. such a move would actually hurt this team in the short term. it doesn't make any sense.

lemme ask u this... who does harris have in new jersey that you say he can't make his teammates better? nothing but a bunch of scrubs i will put my hard earned $$$ on it that if u surround him with the talent with we have on this team he will flourish...  andre is old and is set to retire in a few years if even that, priz is a shell of what he once was... so how does this not make sense ? THIS IS A NO BRAINER!!!! and i hope by the time i wake up tomorrow  a deal is in place =) woooooooooooooo lets go harrisssssssssssss!!! bring us to the promise landddddddd!!! something dre has failed to do in his stint here....  harris will help out the fast break dramatically(fastest man in the nba while dribbling a basketball down the court) he will also stretch out the court with his perimeter abilities & can play alot better d than dre does... i believe harris will do very well under nates direction... and also might be the best coach he would ever play for thus far in his career...

apparently the Harris/Dre deal is on the backburner (though theres only 2 days left so i don't know how much of a backburner that can be) as they wait for other deals to present themselves, one site speculating it's because NJ wants us to trade Oden, along with thrilla and dre, for a first round pick Harris and Murphy. Which I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat, Oden is a lose-lose situation right now, worst thing that could happen is he gives us a reasont o give him more money and gets hurt again. and murphy's contract/talent is highly coveted by other teams in contension, so the possibility of turning him for a draft pick or other players is a possible as well as keeping a possible pgotf in harris, and not having to get rid of rudy dante or batum.

    Also, from Yahoo!- Trade Buzz

The Atlanta Hawks are working hard to move point guard Mike Bibby, and Washington’s Kirk Hinrich has emerged as a real target for them. Denver’s Raymond Felton and Portland’s Andre Miller also are looming large on the Hawks’ radar, sources say. The Hawks have inquired about the Nets’ Harris, but there are no deal possibilities there, sources said.
This could be where the Hawks an Crawford talk came about.

I'm told there's a 100 pct chance of Devin Harris being traded. Dallas and Portland likeliest spots. Mavs offer Caron's exp contract.
Since Dre can actually play, I'd hope our offer would be more enticing to the Nets.

I would have really liked to see Harris in Portland. I still firmly believe with his speed and movement up and down the court it would easily replace Andre's vision for LA on the Fast break. Maybe even make the fast break more lethal. And of course the ever nagging subject of age. I think we need to stop looking at small players though and start thinking about our bigs. Injuries plague the players we have now year after year and is arguably the reason why we haven't moved deeper into the playoffs.

This town ain't big enough for TWO J.C.'s.  Two thumbs down on Crawfish.  If I had a third...it'd be down too.

This Crawfish rumor is puzzling to me.  Like Miller, his contract is ALSO an expiring one.  Crawfish is at 10.8 mil, approx 3 mil over Dre.

Harris has a very attractive contract.  He is only guaranteed thru '12-'13, the season following what most expect to be an abbreviated one.  At which point, HE will be an expiring contract.  Harris is a no brainer.

    DO NOT TRADE ANYONE.

Wait until this season is over before doing anymore trading. I still believe we have a special group of guys with chemistry unlike anything found on any other team. Don't eff it up with silly trading. Harris and Murphy are poor substitutes for respected vets like Andre and Joel. So do not consider trading anyone right now, just talking about it can have unnecessary negative outcomes.
  1. Posted 02/23/2011 12:03 AM

I support the trade, especially if we can get a pick. A pick from NJ is always a high one. And if we can turn around and ditch Murphy for another pick? Even better. Harris played well in Dallas, he just needs the right pieces around him, and I know his speed will be an asset when putting the ball where it needs to be on one of those slamming LMA dunks.

Amen Blazers4Life247. Anyone person who is cognizant of NBA basketball or the sport of basketball knows that Harris is a solid player and would make a perfect fit w/ the Blazers. With the scenarios transpiring about Utah and Denver it is unlikely that the Blazers will miss the playoffs dealing Dre for Harris. Pryz was great but he is no longer fecund to the current or future states of the Blazers. THIS IS A NO BRAINER. It's quite revelation to observe the short sighted nature of some fans, just months ago, Harris single handedly defeated the Blazers. Oh way guess it's too much to ask for, let's pray this happens.

Some ppl are hardcore fanatics when it comes to dissemination of ideas, proposals, conjectures or vehemently object to what others opine about. This is a blog anything and everything goes. While I am a huge fan of facts and figures to substantiate opinions, it is incumbent on those w/ the facts and figures (or at least those who see themselves that way) to properly address or refute any opinions they feel don't have the apposite desiderata which precedes such opinions.

I really like Miller, I think he's an awesome player for the most part. But he does have his nights where he is just awful. He is getting old, and if we can get a younger, faster player in here in his place that could help our fast break game, then I would be all for it. Especially if Miller is planning on leaving or being done in a year or so anyway. Man I really do like him though! I have another idea to think about. Trade Roy, Oden, and Batum for CP3. Sounds crazy, but what it could work. We would have a healthy star on our team without bad knees!

Oden, Batum, and Roy for CP3?  CP3 is no better than Roy is at his position.  Don't get me wrong, CP3 is good, but trading away Oden, Batum, and roy for a point guard who's lost his touch when he's consistently injured?  No thank you.  Btw,  Miller has said he wants to play at least until he's 38.  He's 35 right now.

Harris will make our core about the same age. I think that's important when trying to win a championship.

I also think that Harris will spread the floor more than Dre (not difficult). I also think that he'll be energized by the move, and return to his all star form. I think he would fit this team really well. He needs the ball more than Blake, but he won't clog the middle as much as Dre, so Roy will have more room to operate.

I think Harris' qualities compliment our squad better than Dre's, so even if Dre is a better player, Harris will be a better fit. We'll certainly lose a little leadership, but I have faith that people like LA, Roy, and Matthews will step in and fill the role. I doubt that we'd even lose anything in terms of 4th quarter scoring. When I've watched Harris play I've seen him go into another gear in the 4th.

I like him. I'd do this trade, for sure. Then again, there's no way I have the same information as the people making the calls, so I'm basing my thoughts on way less information.

I found these videos of Harris.
