This is the offseason to lock Brandon in. Give him anything he wants.

If we lock Brandon up this summer, doesn't that more or less obligate us to lock Aldridge up as well? Seems like it'd be a knock on one or the other if we fail to sign or extend them at the same time.

L-Train, 4 yr, 52 million. C'mon Paul Allen. We know that Microsoft is doin' good. You wanna win an NBA championship, or watch a sub-par football team in the rain? Go Blazers!!

I really hope that B-Roy and LA take the high road and take what they are worth but at the same time not screw the team over for securing future players like Oden, Bayless, and Przybilla. This is where we get to see whether they are in it to win a Championship for Portland, or whether they are in it to just make more money than they know what to deal with. I say offer them a respectable LONG term offer, a franchise player offer.

I'll be praying that they remember being a kid and saying, "I would play for free in the NBA, just so long as i get to play."

of course idk that they really said that when they were younger, but anyone who loves the game thinks it at some point. Of course they wont have to play for free, but what is money without anything accomplished?

*crosses fingers* make the right choice guys. keep the team together.

also, i agree with the post earlier saying that it would seem wrong to offer either Roy or L-Train an extension without offering the other and extension also.

It shouldn't matter. But we shouldn't risk making ANY moves that might offend either.

THIS IS BLAZER NATION!!! not Roy nation, or Aldridge nation, this team is based on not only the team, but the entire being of Portland.

The fans, the coach, the management, the players.

that is what equals the Portland Trail Blazers.

I believe they got until next off-season to start talking about contract extension because both players are on the books for another couple of seasons.

B-Roy and LA? No they aren't, they are FA as of next offseason. I heard KP say once FA starts those two are their top priority this year to secure them for future seasons.

I think it's time to give Roy his contract. I wouldn't be high on it last season but he really proved his worth this year and definitely a top player now. I would go for a 6 year deal around 80-90 mil for him.

Its better to do the extensions on both this summer because they will do better this next season. LA and Roy will improve and the team will do better off there success. I would love to see 5 year deals on each LA 8-12 million hopefully low end and Roy 12-15 hopefully low end so we cann build a squad around them.

As generous as B-Roy might be, if his agent is anygood at all he would use that deal as TP. That is totally lowballing Roy. He may sign for less than he is worth, but not that low. I would say Roy's will probably be in the 6yrs/42M and LA will be 5yrs/30M with options attached for a pretty handsome raise.

Yeah It would be a good deal for them but who Olshey isnt reading this haha. If we can do this trade to start our off season we would be in great shape.

Rip a cap hold is a number given to free agents. Basically the cap hold is added to the teams salaries at the start of free agency. So for example a team has 10 million in cap space but has 15 million in cap holds they are technically over the sal...

You could trade the pick for someone like Sanders or someone young and a little more developed and hope Noel does not surpass them.

Noel was playing at around 220 so I doubt the added weight will slow him down too much the guy just needs to continue his rehab and hit the weight room and he will be fine.

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
