    PREVIEW - Portland's Sweet 16 In Minnesota
Portland will look to gift Minnesota (13-41) its 16th loss, one shy from tying its best streak of 17 over the Clippers. The Trail Blazers run started on Dec. 28, 2007, when Portland pulled out a 109-98 win at the Rose Garden.
Love grabbed 13 rebounds and scored 16 points against the Sixers as the Timberwolves dropped their second straight matchup after shooting 36.4 percent from the field. Love has recorded two 20-point games in his last three contests and has averaged 14 rebounds over the stretch.

After dispatching the Raptors and Pistons, the Trail Blazers look to make it a clean sweep against the Wolves on Monday night. With the Nuggets faltering tonight in Memphis, the Blazers are now tied in the loss column for 6th and are only a game behind the Hornets for 5th. While the Blazers will be tired after playing two, down-to-the-wire finishes, they see the All-Star Break in sight and want no part in breaking their 15 game winning streak over the Wolves.

Without Camby and Roy, Portland is down in talent which is why they need to continue to let Aldridge touch the ball on every possession. In his past three contests, La has put up 42 on Chicago, 37 on Toronto, and 36 on Detroit, making him the first Trail Blazer to score 36 or more points in three straight games (courtesy of AGDuck). Like the previous two road games, Portland must be aggressive and look to score. Minnesota gives up 108 a night, tops in the league. Also, the Wolves have only won three times when allowing the opposition to break the century mark.

you know, i could have cast the poll vote for any of those, but i chose LaMarcus scoring 30+ because i think he'll do it. LaMarcus is about as understated as a guy who's averaged 38.3 points over the last three games can be, but i have a hunch he really wants to take it to Love (and Stern for selecting Love to the asg). i think he will. in fact, i don't think minnesota has anyone who can stop him.

of course if we slow down Love, limiting turnovers, score 100+ and get some bench production, i don't think it will be a contest. my feeling is that the blazers would love (pun intended!) to sweep the t-wolves and come home from this road trip 3-0. i honestly think that will happen.

Limit Turnovers LMAO.  Andre almost had a triple double... 13 points, 11 assists, 9 turnovers.

You can't hold Love to less than 10 rebounds.  The dude cares too much about his streak.  People in Oregon know he's a selfish guy that prefers himself over a team.  He won't stick with the Wolves during free agency, and he'll go out there during trash time to jump try to pick up boards.

Aldridge should have another 30+ game.  Love is the worst defensive powerforward in the league.

    So it's valentines day.

After the game, instead of people saying "I Love you",  they'll be saying "I Aldridge You".  That's how hard the beating will be!

This is another game where we need to be aggressive offensively. If we don't score over 100 points, we have no shot. Not only does LA need to bring it, but Patty and Rudy need to pick their spots wisely off of the bench and find Wesley open from downtown. I think he likes shooting from downtown in the Target Center (7 3's last time in Minny).

OMG the video of Aldridge bouncing the ball off Love's nose at the end...I kept bursting out laughing at Love's reaction.  The nba.com clip of it just kills me.  Part of me wants to believe LA isn't that childish and part of me hopes it was 100% deliberate lol.

Awesome team effort.  Points, boards and assists all over the box score for the Blazers.  I'm not even remotely disappointed that Love eeked out that double/double.

A "day off" before NOH rolls through with Portland comin' back to the Rose Garden after a 3 game road sweep?  Tell me the Hornets are in for a hurtin'.  Oh and did ya notice Portland sittin' at sixth TayC?  GIMME HUGS BRUDDA!!!  GIMME ****IN' HUGS!  Oh and Marks hit a three.  He's my gyro.

Another thing I saw, and this goes in the Love conspiracy file, was Kevin boxing out bigs instead of rotating to help on defense.  He chose to box out instead of steppin' at Miller on a through the lane layup.  And did Wheels say Love stepped up to the scorers table in the fourth?  If there's any question about this guys motivation somebody has to put it to bed.  He doesn't give a damn about his team.  Just wants ta break the Moses dub/dub record.  I hope somebody stops him.  If only to poke Stern in the eye.

sign Iggy for 8-9M, Batum at the two, and Wesley off the bench! Draft Steven Adams (who loves contact, grew up playing rug-bee). Sounds NICE!

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
