Listening to 1080 the Fan, it was just reported by Chris Brousard the the latest Melo deal being discussed involves the Blazers as the third team.

We would send Marcus Camby to the Rockets along with melo, but it was unclear who we would recieve in return...

maybe something like this (only to match salaries)... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine

it may not show up but it has us getting Scola, Houston getting Camby and Carmello, and the Nuggets getting Yao Ming's expiring contract and Patrick Patterson... not a bad trade but don't think it would go through.

Thoughts???

The Nuggets wouldn't make that deal and neither would Portland. This doesn't seem like a likely deal. I mean, unless those teams had further plans, maybe. But I'm not trading Camby for Scola.

they are rumored to be shopping brooks the "pg" (which we need and he is from the area) idk if he is included in the deal but rumor is that they are shopping him amidst his behavior towards the coach and the team... was suspended for conduct detrimental to the team as well... seems disgruntled...? but boy he is a pretty good pg... if we could steal him somehow without having to give up andre(unlikely) it'll be a good look...

i have a feeling that if we are involved in a trade with the nuggets they are going to try to pry batum from us since they like him alot... but i don't think we should give him up by any means unless its for melo!

Not a fan of Brooks in a Blazer uniform. He and Patty are the same size and possess very similar skill sets. Minis don't help their teams advance in the playoffs. When was the last time a smaller PG led his team to a championship? Avery Johnson with San Antonio? When, before that? I like Aaron Brooks, just not here. Would have been a nice fit in NY with the style they play, but those talks are dead (http://www.hoopsworld.com/HeadlineS...TORY_31146)

actually i think Nate Robinson had like 22 points in one of the playoff games for the Celtics last season and was their crucial factor for that game.
but then again......they always had rondo on back up.....
D fish is 6'2....
What about CP3 , dude is only 6 and i bet he could lead a team to a championship

But i would rather not ever watch scola play basketball, so i would even more rather he not play basketball for this team......

i dont like this trade at all , b'cause tht doesnt solve our problem at C nore Pg . plus we would lose alot of size and thts giving up to much so i wouldnt do it and i dnt think the blazers are either .

Our C problem should be solved in the draft. lets trade for a younger PG and have him run the team. Maybe we trade Mills and Johnson for Brooks? Is that a better trade idea?

brousard doesnt exactly have a lot of credibility with me right now. he's reported like 10 different proposed melo deals and all of them turned out to just be rumors. Also the Blazers probably wouldnt trade Camby unless they got a really good center or pg

I don't know it seems to me that Andre Miller will defy the calendar. He seems to me to have a lot more left in the tank than one might expect. I love what LA is doing these days but I have to say I think Andre has been responsible for a lot of that. I say we go all in with Andre for another couple of years if possible.

the key word in all this is "rumor." that's all this is. even if there was some validity to the rumor, i doubt Cho would pull the trigger.
