    Remember Joel Freeland? That English guy we took with the last pick of the 06 draft?
    Here's the latest update on him via Hoopshype-
    You were drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers. Is the NBA in your future plans? Joel Freeland: In the future, yes. I'm not thinking about it now because I signed a long contract here and I'm under contract for three more years. But in the future, of course I do. The dream of all players is to play in the NBA. All of them, and if they say they don't, they are just lying. But if I go there, I want to go there to play, not to be on the bench.

    I would love to bring him over as I think we can use the bench help, but I fear if we don't do it within the next year or two, it'll never come to fruition.

    In other words when I am old and need some retirement money ill come warm the bench. That also goes for all the other european picks we wasted.

    Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
