Mike and Mike just reported that Brandon Roy has circled the Toronto game on the 11th as a return date. What do you make of this?

We can only wait and see. Personally for me I'm nervous. I want him back, I just don't want him to rush back and re-injury himself. I want a healthy Brandon Roy not a 50%, 75%, even a 95% Brandon.

No need to rush him back. Give him the extra two weeks from now, bring him back after the all star break. Camby can come back this weekend, but give Roy till after the break. I like Joel, Marks, and Babbitt.. but come on we need more play from our bigs

Well, the good news is it's a road game, so that Roy won't try to overdo anything because of the anxious crowd.

Like you all, I'm nervous, but I trust Brandon Roy and the Blazer doctors more than I trust fans that are nervous that don't know anything in the medical department.

Nate said in the oregonian that he has to see Roy play in practice before he will be reinserted in the lineup. There's definitely more than meets the eye in this, real glad to see Roy at least wanting to come off the bench, I hope he sees this as a viable option for the rest of his career, like Manu does for the spurs, I only worry about what this is going to do for Rudy, he needs minutes to get involved, and so does Roy, yay more drama. Will Roy try harder to defer to his teamates, if so how long does that last. This is the beginning of the real rough patch, how do you reinsert a struggling all star into a blue collar team.

roy will come off the bench from the start... but he wont do it for the rest of his career...
even manu doesnt come off the bench anymore...

well the next three games are against the raptors, pistons, and timberwolves.. so if there's a stretch to ease him back 5 or 10 minutes a game, this would be it. I just hope it's not going to cost him like it did last year, for him it shouldn't be if it's painless or not, it should be if its 100%. If it doesn't feel like it did before the injuries then I wouldn't return if I were him.

I seem to recall what happened last year during the Playoffs when Brandon Roy came back early instead of taking the time to get fully healed before coming back to the team, even though they did need him and ended up losing. I say that he needs to wait a bit longer before he comes back into the game full-on, and then work his way back into the line-up.

I am a fan of the team with the brightest future, and wins more games than they lose.

I say that TayC because Roy could come back and be his old self or new B-Roy and help Portland win more games, or he could come back too early and aggravate his injury causing him to miss more games that planned. Yes their are more options but those are the ones that stick out and are the real franchise changers. Praying Roy comes back strong and tears it up tho!

Not to nit-pick but last year was 2010 but it did start in 09 I usually count the playoff to be the ending year tho

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
