    Congratulations to Wesley Matthews for making the Rookie/Sophomore game!

    Joining him on the Soph squad is Tyreke Evans, Steph Curry, DeJaun Blair, DeMar DeRozan, Serge Ibaka, Brandon Jennings, Taj Gibson, and Jrue Holiday.

    NEW YORK, Feb. 1, 2011 – Trail Blazers guard Wesley Matthews has been selected to play in the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam by the NBA's assistant coaches.

    Among his second-year peers, Matthews is first in three-pointers made at 86, second in scoring at 16.1 points per game, second in free-throws attempted (184) and made (154), fourth in free-throw percentage (84%), fourth in steals per game at 1.26, fifth in minutes per game at 33.1 and sixth in three-point shooting percentage (38%).     Great news! I hate watching All-Star weekend without any Blazer participants. Now, just got to hold out hope that LA will be there with him!

    The rookie squad is headlined by Blake Griffin and John Wall. The rest include Eric Bledsoe, DeMarcus Cousins, Gary Neal, Derrick Favors, Wesley Johnson, Landry Field and Greg Monroe. The Sophs better be on top of their game if they want to beat those rooks!

    Well, at first I said no, then I remembered he's one of the reasons we're in the playoff race in the tough west.  Congrats to him.  Gives me a good reason to watch All-Star weekend.  Now, on Thursday we'll be hearing even better news... I hope.

    can't wait till this team all comes together and everyone is healthy... this team has heart! and wesley is part of the reason.... congrats to 1 of the hardest workers in the league...

    Well at least we have one player going to LA. I just hope his ankle heals up in time for him to go. Even if he is 99.99999% healthy, I want him resting at home. We need you at 100% Wes!
