the biggest problem of the blazers right now is Center and Point Guard . So my thinking says lets go after one of thee other . i think we should go after mo williams what do you think ?

    cavs : get andre miller

blazers : mo williams and manny harris .

a backup pf/center is the biggest need. i don't know that pg is really as high a priority as many people think. i know everyone says trade Andre, but by comparison to what we really need, that's definitely not amongst our major concerns.

Manny Harris? nah. if we move that way, there likely are more interesting players to go after. Mo Williams? maybe. the biggest thing is whether their respective teams would be willing to trade them. it's great for us to say "we should go get this guy," but if his team is not interested in a trade, then the talk becomes futile.

IDK if a trade is what we need. I think we just need to get health and STAY HEALTHY and we would be a contender.

Mo Williams sucks.  But like you said we definately do need a pg and a center since none of our centers can stay healthy and andre isnt able to play that many minutes with good production because of his age.  I think right now we should be willing to trade anyone on the team besides Batum, Matthews and Aldridge.  Everyone else either isnt a great fit for our team, is injured a lot, or has an expiring contract which is quite valuable in this league.

our best chance to get someone good in a trade is from teams that arent serious contenders and are trying to free up cap space for free agency this summer.  I still think we could probably get a couple good players from the nets since they are looking to free up cap space to make a run for melo.  I think Cho could probably get either Devin Harris or Derick favors if we offer them either a good veteran player or a lot of expiring contracts and draft picks.

I completely agree with Kassandra in saying that the 5's the biggest (no pun intended) need, also, just because you like a guy doesn't mean he's obtainable. I'm sure a lot of us want a Tony Parker, a Chris Paul, or other guys who are huge pieces of other teams. This isn't an early 2000's NBA video game where you can give up spare parts for a high-class player. For some reason, people tend to either forget that, or find a reason to push it aside.

Ey mo would be better than Dre.... because there is no way Cleveland would even take that trade, williams for miller, nuh uh.

Idk how you can just take in wesley mathews and his inconsistency and turn your back on the rest of the team though.
and idk where youve been but NJ dropped out of the Melo Drama Race, so aiming for harris you might have to give up one of your own.
I would say maybe miller and pryz for harris and favors or someone else.

But when you trade away pryzbilla you also decrease the Centers on this team by one. That leaves Camby who is 35, and has been injured twice this season......if he leaves your back into the Greg Oden Nightmare

yeah but you cant just grab super stars.
there is no incentive for any of them to come here. if anything these players are angry that they are loosing to a team riddled with bad luck by a bunch of kids.....
    not a good start.
The team is not at the rebuilding process yet, everyone seems to think so but i have yet to see any rebuilding moves.
WM acquired in the off season and was originally intended to lighten the load for brandon, now he has just taken all of brandons responsibilities. not a rebuilding addition.
Marks was acquired because Oberto had to bone out, and Oberto was acquired because of the mismanaged invested hope into Greg Odens knee, all of these players have been "covering your butt" type moves.

I guess mo would be better than miller but id way rather get harris or monta ellis or something.  and I know that nj has dropped out of the melo race for now but that doesnt meen that they wont try to get him if he becomes a free agent.  Also nj should just be trying to rebuild with or without Melo, and that means doing what Miami did, get a lot of expiring contracts this year so that over the next couple years they can build a super team by getting free agents.  And the only way they can get expensive expiring contracts now is trading away players like Favors or Harris for guys like Pryzbilla or Miller.

    Hmmm...

My idea is: the Blazers could have a three-way trade involving Cleveland so that we could trade Mo Williams (or if you may, add Antawn Jamison in the mix) for someone at the 4 and/or 5. I think Mo doesn't fit in the Blazer offense because he is more of a shoot-first point guard (and if you add Antawn, i think he doesn't fit in too)

I just wonder which third-party team could be interested to involve themselves with such deal. The Lakers?

Same team different player, I think Varajou would be a good grab, worth prizbilla (expiring contracts are liked by rebuilding teams) and miller and next years first round pick (because Andre and priz would be gone by next season but would leave them cap room) and a future 1st round pick for varajou and hickson and 2 future second round

Well if you are talking CLeveland
Then lets put up Dre and Pryz.....

If you grab Verajao and Williams, i think you lose in that.
Because Miller can facilitate better than Mo, But mo can score easier.
However with Verajao you dont really gain offense of any defense, and at least with Joel you have defense.
Hickson is one of those 6'9 PF-C. which in my opinion is the worst size for those two spots.
6'9 is the ultimate SF thou.....just think LBJ.
